在教学中，常有学生对学习英语不感兴趣，而导致教学效果欠佳，其中原因之一是教师忽略了情感效应在课堂教学中的重要作用。在课堂教学中，教师要做到心理上与学生接近，情感上要与学生产生共鸣，千方百计设法在师生间架起一座感情的桥梁，才能激发学生的学习兴趣。两千多年前孔子曾经说过：知之者，不如好之者，好之者不如乐之者。师生关系融洽时学生就能"亲其师，信其道"，乐学之。当然要想让学生"乐学"，教师先要"乐教"。积极的情感交流，能促使课堂气氛和谐，激发学生的学习兴趣，调动其主动性与积极性。所以，教师在上课时，不仅要善于调动自己的情感因素，保持饱满的热情，更要以情感染学生，激发学生的情感，使师生感情融洽，气氛和谐，协调一致，以达到加速双边活动的进程。教师爱学生越深，学生也敬老师越深。老师对好学生和差学生都要有良好的态度，不能对差生总是看不顺眼，应该有意识的挖掘他们的"闪光点"，并加以肯定和鼓励。要常说：OK！Good！等使他们享受成功的欢愉，从而保持浓厚的兴趣。如果老师能厚爱后进生，在他们心中建立可亲可敬的形象，他们就会因亲其师而信其道，进而表现出异常积极的学习激情。这样，就会在潜移默化中使学生对教师产生好感和信赖，两者交融情感，互为作用，会使学生学习成绩不断提高。

宽容学生的过失，促进教与学的和谐
对学生的过错能宽容原谅是一种美德,也是一个教师必须具备的心理品质。教师要善于以自己的宽容,走进学生的内心,成为学生心目中可亲可近可以推心置腹的人,从而顺利达到教育学生的目的。宽容是一种温柔的力量,它可以穿透人的心灵。有一次,上课的铃声已经响过,等我走进教室,有的学生还在说话,有的还在忙着整理课桌上的书本,黑板上是满满的数学题目。我很想发火,可是理智告诉我必须冷静。我控制好自己的情绪,轻轻的拿起黑板擦擦掉了黑板。
擦完后,我很坦然的笑对学生说:"I have cleaned the blackboard; have you gotten ready for the class?"这时,学生们个个都坐的笔直,响亮的回答道:"Yes, we are ready."接下来的课堂气氛活跃,学生思维敏捷,发言踊跃，达到了意想不到的课堂教学效果。

用真诚拉近距离，增加师生信任
在英语课堂教学中，教师传递真情的方式主要有两种，一种是有声的表达，一种是无声的交流。有声的表达主要是教师自己对教材的理解，用自己优美正确的语音语调，欢快或是悲伤的情感来阐述教学内容，让学生感受其间的内涵。无声的交流则是用肢体语言，一个手势，一个表情，一个眼神来传情达意。我觉得最重要的是要用眼神来面对全体学生。教师讲授知识时，要用眼睛环视全体，并让它在某个学生脸上停留，让它与学生的眼神做一下沟通，探寻一下学生是否已经理解。当学生做了错事的时候，教师可以用指责的眼神去看他，就会起到阻止，批评的作用；当学生因为胆怯慌张而回答不畅甚者语无伦次的时候，教师用热切期待的眼神去看他，就会使他气定神闲，镇定自如。课堂上这短短的一瞥确实能达到"此时无声胜有声"的效果。师生在彼此的眼神交流中加深了感情，增加了信任。

运用多媒体创设情境， 激发学生兴趣
当学生对学习产生兴趣和渴望，他才愿意学。Warm-up是英语课堂常用的环节，在英语教学前针对故事中的重点和难点进行必要的渗透，对教学的深入开展可以起到铺垫的作用。在这一环节有效地运用多媒体，可以调动学生的学习积极性，激发学习兴趣。例如在《How are you》一文中，有How are you ？ Fine,thank you ! I’m not bad ! ’m not so good!等新句子。在教授这些新句子之前，我利用多媒体课件有意识的渗透了这些内容。让学生观看我自己录制的DV,我通过向客人打招呼后，要问候别人，英语中问候别人人要用How are you ？并要求学生试着用这个句子和认识的人打招呼，学生很自然地了解并运用了这个句子。这样在学习新内容之前，我先创设情境，在贴近学生生活的活动交际中，让学生体验了本课内容，为进一步学习做了铺垫，效果非常好。

精心设计课堂活动，轻松学习英语
结合教材创设情景，寻找学生兴趣点 现实生活中的语言环境是学好语言的关键所在。因此，英语教学必须从学生的生活出发。小学生所学的英语材料一般比较简短，形式单一。这要求我们在备课时尽可能把这些材料放入各种真实的情景中，使得学生一节英语课上学到的不止是单词和少量的对话，而是习得更多的语言知识，获得英语交际的能力。 例如教二年级有关 "Animals"这一单元时，可以把教室布置成动物园，到处是有趣的动物玩具。而且每个学生也戴上了自己喜爱的动物头饰。一上课，同学们便感到不是在上课，而是到了一个热闹的动物园。整个教学过程中学生把被动学习变为主动学习，而且充满了乐趣，真是"课始时分兴已浓，课行时分兴正浓，课终时分兴犹浓"。
