第二，从句子方面考虑。有时两个或更多的句子，如果思想内容上关系很密切，我们可以把它们连成一个句子。通过联句的方法，使文章意义更加连贯，结构更加紧凑，语言更加生动。掌握好联句的方法，对提高英语写作能力有很大的帮助。美国迈阿密大学曾对三百名新生进行过一次写作测验，让一半学生按传统方法即语法法学习写作，另一半按新方法即联句法去写，经过15周的训练，结果运用新方法学习写作的学生要比传统训练的学生强，总的作文水平高于后者。
第三，从段落方面考虑。要体现文章的连贯，可以用关联词或句子，可以用代词代替前一句的一个词，但更多的时候是通过发展段落的方法。
1．按时间的先后顺序发展段落。叙述性或历史性文段写作，通常按时间先后顺序来写常用到下列关联词：after,first,when,later,finally,eventually等等。
2．按空间顺序发展段落。按空间顺序发展段落就是要把一段中的中心信息按空间关系安排，主要用于描写人的外貌、一个活动场面或一个地方各个部分的布局。写作是可以采用多种方法，只要把空间关系交代清楚即可。
3．用分类的方法发展段落。用分类的方法发展段落是根据某种原则把要描述的人或事分成若干类。要注意用同一种方法分出的各类之间不应该发生重叠。进行分类的段落结构通常是主题句---支撑句---结尾句。结尾句用来进行总结、评论、重复等。
4．用分析方法发展段落。使用这一方法主要是为了分析某行动、事件、情况或现象的原因、阐明因果关系。其基本形式有四种：一是以陈述结果开始，然后分析导致这一结果的原因，最后写一结尾句；二是以陈述原因开始，然后讲述这一原因导致什么结果，最后写一结尾句。三是分析原因再分析结果，或先分析结果再分析原因。四是因果交替出现在段落里。
5．用归纳法分析段落。归纳法与前八种方法不同，它要求先出现支撑句，然后出现结尾句兼主题句，即由分说到总说或由具体到一般，渐渐接近主题句。

1、准确

要使你的英语写作文章语义表达准确，首先要尽量不要在学术文章中出现＂大概、也许＂之类模棱两可地词语，避免出现容易让人困惑和误解地词语和表达法；其次，要尽量避免使用那些有多种含义地词语和表达法。

In a report published today, Oxfam, Greenpeace, Christian Aid, Friends of the Earth, WWF(英国牛津救济委员会、“绿色和平”组织、基督徒互援会、“地球之友”组织、世界野生动物基金组织) and 15 other groups say rich governments must immediately address(致力于) climate change to avoid even "obscene levels(无法忍受的程度)" of worldwide poverty.

"Climate change needs to be addressed now. The poor will bear the brunt of the impacts. The frontline experience of many of us working in international development indicates that communities are having to combat more extreme weather conditions."
