1.紧扣中心思想，千万不要跑题。
As a general rule, state the main idea of a paragraph in the first sentence--the topic sentence. Don't keep your readers guessing.通常，文章的第一句话就要表达出自己的看法，这也就是所谓的“主题句”。不要让读者去猜想。
2.灵活变换句子的长度。
In general, use short sentences to emphasize ideas. Use longer sentences to explain, define, or illustrate ideas.一般来说，使用短句来强调中心思想，使用长句来解释、定义、或者阐述自己的想法。
3.把关键词和中心放在段落的显要位置，比如说开始句或者尾句。
Don't bury a main point in the middle of a long sentence. To emphasize key words, place them at the beginning or (better yet) at the end.不要让中心埋没在段落中。想要强调关键词的话就把他们放在起始或者结尾。
4.要有变换句型和结构的意识。
Vary sentence types by including occasional questions and commands. Vary sentence structures by blending simple, compound, and complex sentences.穿插一般疑问句和命令句来变换句型。也可以用简单、复合或者复杂句来增加句子结构的种类。
5. 学会使用主动动词。
Don't overwork the passive voice or forms of the verb "to be." Instead, use dynamic verbs in the active voice.不要过度使用"to be"这些被动语态。在主动语态中使用主动动词吧。

Ⅱ 英语应用文写作，报道类的应该怎么写

应用文特点就是简单。字数要求是在100字左右，因此小作文在保证清楚表达意思的情况下尽量要用一些简单的句式，不要追求像大作文那样复杂且多变的句式，高大上的句子在应用文中是大材小用。

其次在应用文中，虽然考研大纲中罗列了多种应用文类型，如包括申请信、感谢信、邀请信等形式的书信作文，还有简历、备忘录、公告、备忘录、通知、寻物启事等类型，但是其中最常考的就是书信。因此大家要着重掌握书信的具体写法。

一.英语应用文写作之便条写法：

基本写作格式——便条内容和类型不尽相同，可以灵活变通。但各类便条必须包括以下几个基本要素：1)Date：便条日期;2)Salutation：称呼;3)Body：这文;4)Signature：署名。

二.英语应用文写作之备忘录写法：

备忘录主要用来提醒、督促对方，或就某个问题提出自己的意见或看法。

四.英语应用文写作之求职信写法：

基本习作格式——1) show your interest：展示你的兴趣;2) describe your previous
experience：描述自己以前的工作经验;3) explain why you would be suitable for the
job：解释为什么你适合这项工作;4)Signature：署名。

五.英语应用文写作之邀请信写法：

基本写作格式——1) Invite them to the party：邀请他们参加party;

2) Elaborate on the reason why such a party should be held：阐述举行这个聚会的原因;3)
What activities will be arranged for them：将会为他们安排什么样的活动;4)Signature：署名。
