1.转变观念。转变学生的思想观念对于学生提高书面表达有着十分重要的作用。由于英语不是我们的母语，没有一个良好的学习氛围，所以不能自觉的形成英语运用的惯性思维，只能在老师的点播下才能自如的进行英语写作。因此，笔者觉得老师要首先转变学生的观念，加强英语学习，尽一切可能为学生营造一个良好的学习氛围，让学生能够自由的学习，自由的写作。
2.培养学习兴趣。总所周知，“兴趣是学习最好的老师”，如果学生对英语产生了兴趣，那么他就会有学习的“被动接受者”变为“主动的探索者”，这种角色的转化对于学生来说是十分有用的，因为他们会在学习英语的过程中体会到快乐，这样良性循环之下，学生的英语写作能力自然会得到保障。老师一定要记住，在进行英语写作时，尽可能的选择一些学生感兴趣的话题，让学生能够更加的投入，写出真正的好文章。老师激发学生兴趣的方式有很多种，比如说，老师可以拿出几节课教大家唱经典的英文歌曲，欣赏经典的英文电影，开设英语角等等，这些不同形式的活动都能够激发学生的兴趣，让他们对英语产生浓厚的兴趣。
3.注重基本训练。写作不是一蹴而就的，需要进行长期艰苦的训练，可是我们不能单单进行枯燥的重复，我们需要掌握一定的技巧。在英语写作中，一定要清晰的记着英语的固定搭配，基本句型，并形成一种思维定式，在写作中很自然的将这些运用于作文的写作，并且能够很好的运用他们，为我们的作为润色加分。因此，老师在课堂上就要让学生牢记五种句型，加强这五种句型的训练，具体的说，就是：（1）S+V；(2)S+V+O；(3)S+V+P；(4)S+V+IO+DO； （5）S+V+O+C，让学生结合日常生活中所发生的事情，运用各种句式进行创作。随着训练的加深，老师还可以有意识的加深题目的难度，并且让学生运用这些简单的句式创造复句，做扩句的联系，这对于学生提升英语的写作能力非常有帮助。
