What else can I do？
The terrible disaster caused more then 40075 inhabitants deaths and countless injured up to18:00 May 20th. The 8-day search-and- rescue efforts have put more strain on people's nerves. Many Chinese spent the agonizing week following news on TV, on net, or glancing over newspapers and on public transport ring rush hours. Even strangers exchanged information on the updated death toll and the latest outcome of rescue missions; cheered for every survival narrowly escaping hell; mourned each new death; and prayed for the strong lives still trapped in the debris. But hope is dimming as time is running out. So many people lost their lives in a flash, so many happy family become destitute and homeless far and near, so many buildings collapsed without any hesitate, the earth cracked, and even worse, it rained while others try to rescue them…I can not image how sad a child will be that she or he turn out to be orphan after this earthquake.Or the old lost all her offspring in this earthquake.People begin to wonder what they can do to help those who are still suffering.
"What else can I do?" has been the question on everyone's mind since the deadly quake hit Sichuan Province.
After all, only a few warm-hearted volunteers could access "the front lines of combating disaster" considering the complicated conditions and fear of potential calamity. People can be seen everywhere lining up to make donations. In many cities, blood banks have been reported up to saturation; and volunteers wishing to donate blood have to register and wait for to be notified. More and more people are eager to be involved in the rescue and relief work that they are becoming unsatisfied with the disaster-relief efforts made outside of the quake-ravaged areas; and volunteers are descending upon the worst-hit areas in growing numbers.
It is pity that there are a lot of disasters in this Olympic year. This year, we, Chinese people, really have suffered a lot. however, we have not been defeated, instead, we've become more united and show great resolution to overcome all kinds of challenges to make our country more thriving and prosperous.
When people shout slogans "Cheer up, China!", "Cheer up, Wenchuan!" after a three-minute silent tribute to quake victims, at the Tian'anmen Square in central Beijing,I know that the nightmare of the 8 days gone by will fade from the collective Chinese mind with time;and I could see the Chinese longings to rebuild a better future with dauntless perseverance and national esprit de corps !

Hello,everyone.it is my great hornor and pleasure to share my movie preferance with you. As a movie fan, i have watched numbers of movies both domestic and abroad. Maybe you are curious about which one is the most favourate among them. Actually, it is hard for me to tell the best,because each prominent film has its characteristics. Some of them are humorous to make you laugh, some are driving you burst to tears.
But it is indeed impressive to me to review the utmost disliked film-----"Hero" which is directed by Zhang Yimou, in 2002. Although this film show numourous famous filmstars, but you can tell nothing more than its great sceens. What worse, the whole movie just tell a story of the failure assassinate the Emperor of Qin Dynasty. It is hollow on the theme and mindless in the view of narrator. It is a not-uncommon phenomenon which is arising in China movie market. I think it is really a shame to invest so much money to creat a film about nothing.
As i consideration, a good film should belongs to a spiritual proction which either to help us relax or improve our artific taste.Thank you for your listen.

I'm Lai Senhan from the University of International Business & Economics. Do you know what date is it today? Today is the Olympic Date. I'm so glad to stand here today to share my idea about Beijing Olympic Games together with you all. The title of my speech is: what can we do for Beijing Olympic Games?
First of all, let me tell you a story that happened 2 years ago. At the end of August, 2015, when I decided to come to Beijing for study, my friends hel* * **rewell Party for me. They said: after your graation, you should look for a in Beijing, and then in 2015, we shall go to visit you ring the Olympic Games. I laughed and answered: OK, no problem!
Time flied and 2 years passed. Now I am a graate. My teachers and classmates always ask me: what's your plan after your graation? Go back home, stay in Beijing, or go to some other places? And I always answer: I will stay in Beijing. I make this decision not because of my promise to my friends 2 years ago, but because: I've fallen in love with Beijing! I'm eager to welcome the coming Olympic Games together with my fellow countrymen, and I wish I could do something for the Olympics & for the city.
As we know, Beijing will host the 29th Summer Olympic Games in 2015. As a Chinese, I think many people are thinking: what we can do for Beijing Olympic Games. Most of us are not athletes, we cannot take part in competitions directly; we are not officials either, we don't need to do the preparatory work. We are only ordinary people, what we can do!
There are still so many things we can do! For example, for me, I am a graate majoring Business English. As far as I am concerned, I will keep on learning English hard, and apply for being a volunteer. I will use English to serve the Games together with other volunteers. And also, as a businessman at that time, I will avail myself of the great commercial opportunities that the Olympics brings to us, make more efforts to offer my contribution to the growth of our national economy.
And for all of us, with the goal to host a "Green Olympics", we shall plant more trees, grass & flowers. Don't waste water. In order to alleviate the problems of air pollution & traffic congestions, we shall take buses & subways more. With the goal to host a "People's Olympics", and in order to make our Olympics more attractive and to make our Beijing more beautiful, we shall help everyone we meet who needs help, we shall abide by traffic rules, don't smoke in public and no spitting. The most important way for our Chinese to support our Beijing Olympic Games, in my opinion, is to work hard on our ties.

As long as we don't give up, keeping believing in ourselves, and at the same time learn something from failure, we'll certainly make our mark in the end. As a matter of fact,I had been in the habbit of getting up early with the record on so as to listen to my English.but it was not permitted in the dorm just because English was not scene and the time of their getting up was too late.Yeah!I didn’t want to be the public enermy.Finally,I had no choice but to accept the fact .Afterwards,little by little , I became overtaxed and eventually fell victim to the Yu Men”sydrome—“Yu Men” being stressful misery. literally,I was overwrought from the pressure of work and life at college.I wanted experience and own almost everything.Emotionally,I was just like a insatiable kid whose hand had got stuck in the candy jam with too many sweets.This is me in my first semester.

Located in the North of North America, neighboring the USA, Canada is the called the "True North". As it borders the North Pole, surrounded by oceans, the climate there is cold all years round. English and French are spoken there, with French being its official language.
Going on a trip to Canada, the first scenic spot that you cannot miss is the Niagara Falls. There you can catch sight of the water falls in the distance, surrouded by mist. When you draw near, you can even see a rainbow hanging above the fall.
Then I suggest that you should pay a visit to the CN Tower, which used to be the highest tower in the world. You can take lift to the top of the tower, from where you can appreciate the beauty of the city of Toronto.
Another scenic spot in Toronto is the Central Island. You can take a boat there. Alongside the river, you can take a closer look at the beauty and charm of the city.
One thing you should never forget is to watch the aurona. Starting from the young street, you can drive northward till the end, which is said to be the best place to admire aurona in Canada. If you are lucky enough to catch sight of it, you will find that it is beyond description. Coming in different shapes, colors (mainly blue, though), aurona shines brightly in the sky. You will feel as if you were in Wonderland.
