你说的问题其实主要体现了几个误区。我不是什么文字功底好的人，简单给你说说。一般来讲你学英语的本质问题在于你根本不喜欢学这门学科，你文章里处处透着想找方法的思维，其实正是体现了你欲速不达的错误。学英语和学汉语并不一样，中国人学汉语其实并不是学说话那么简单了，涉及的东西更为深入，而学英语却是真正的学说话，试问哪个人学不会说话，虽然有人说英语毕竟不是母语，但是谁也不会要求你要说到母语的水平，而且我们有充足的时间来磨练。说这的目的是你不能学不好就开始苦恼，把过多的时间用在找方法和苦恼上是学东西的大忌。当然也不是说你不能找方法，不过不要有速成想法，方法毕竟是辅助，而且大多是个人倾向，适合他的方法不见得适合你，方法也是已经学成的人总结的，就像佛说的渴了就喝饿了就吃，就是禅了，他说的出，你能明白，但是你却做不到，这就是所谓方法的局限。
半天说到正题，英语作为一种语言，他的究极学习方法就是广义上的多用。所谓多用就是多接触，我们通常没有非常良好的英语氛围，尤其是对学生而言，考试的压力大于学习实用英语的动力，换句话说，考试应对型的英语学习只能使你有有限的进步，也会促使学生对英语产生方案，另一方面，作为学生的话，没有太多时间来学习英语，可悲的是，英语其实是最需要时间来学习的。我要说，你文中提到的你记不住单词，其实和你的记忆力没有关系，你本身对英语并不感兴趣，所以看背单词的时候缺乏热情与深入理解，自以为记住了，比看谁都眼熟，其实保持的只是头脑里的一阵兴奋度，兴奋度过了，自然就忘了。但是你在忘词，诸如 a an the white black interesting congratulation一类的词却总不会忘，原因只有一点，就是巩固，一个生僻词，你记住了，十天八天不用可能还可以，一个月半年不用谁都会忘，所以记单词不是单纯的记单词，还需要巩固，最好的巩固方法其实就是应用，学会了多和同学对话时候用用，再就是做阅读，阅读中的词汇其实是很大的，碰到这个词的概率也就相应变大，碰到一次就巩固一次，效果就已经很好了，如果多次碰到，就可以达到不忘的目的。再有，你说有长句理解困难的问题，其实英语中语法项目就那么几块，高中语法完毕的话就基本差不多了，所以英语语法并不是很难，很有规律，长句的理解有很大一方面是上下文的理解，如果上下文理解得当会对长句理解帮助很大。如果是语法问题，研究研究语法，我并不主张把大块精力用在研究语法上，费时费力，而且不是学语言的正途，语法永远是辅助，不要被考试趋势所左右，语法题有明确的分数，但是阅读和作文的比例却要大的多。其实曾经沧海难为水，随着你能力的提高这些问题就是过眼云烟，应手而除，现在苦恼担心学不好英语没有必要，因为提高本来就是潜移默化的。
