首先必须要培养对英语的兴趣，因为这是长时间的学习过程，如果单单靠看书本自学内的话，相对来说容是比较无聊的。
本人自学英语是重听歌开始，先是选择喜欢的英语歌然后试听，当听力练习，看能抓到多少歌词，然后看着歌词查单词，接着跟唱，当你会唱了，你就会发觉在这首歌里学到了不少词汇
还可以重电影中学习，最好是双语字幕的，对一个初学者或者英语水平一般的来说，看同一部喜欢的电影开多几遍自然就会懂得部分里面的新词汇
游戏也是一个很好的学习方法，是学习如何懂玩一个游戏，而不是去沉迷，一般人都会对游戏比较感兴趣，由于感兴趣也比较容易记得牢里面所出现的新词汇
关于教材方面，推荐新概念1-3，这是不错的书，很多英语专业人事都是重这3本书入手的，里面的每一篇文章都有不少的expression和不同的语法运用，这个我是在洛基英语学习的
