通过我们对近十几年来全国各高校考研英语复试口语的话题数据研究分析发现，复试口语的考察形式虽然较为多变，有考官面试，图画描述，小组讨论，结构化面试，视译等多种方式，但从口语考察的话题角度来看，其考查特点和考查规律还是比较明显的。这也是我们同学们可以在复试之前进行充分准备的地方。
大部分高校在复试当中的考查话题通常可以分为两个角度，一类话题是基本认知类，针对学生对自我或对考研的基本认真进行提问;另一类是随机问答类，考官会根据学生的回答来进行即时追问，或针对一些社会热点、传统话题来进行随机提问。所以接下来我们将重点来分析一下这两类话题的基本内容。
首先对于基本认真类话题来说，其可以分成以下两类，一是自我认知类，主要是考官对于学员对自我认知的一个剖析;二是考研认知类，考官旨在了解学员对待考研的想法以及规划等。自我认知类话题一般包含以下内容：学员的性格特征、兴趣爱好、家庭情况、毕业院校、实践经历。通过这个问题的考查，考官可以全方位的了解学员是什么样类型的人。考研认知类话题主要包含：学员的考研动机，以及学员考研后的规划，包括研究生阶段的规划和研究生毕业后的规划。
其次，对于随机问答类话题，一方面就是考官对于学员回答中感兴趣的点，或者不清楚的点进行追问;另一方面就是考官会针对社会热点来进行提问。比如去年非常热门的，学生如何看待抖音、学生如何看待人工智能等话题，今天很有可能考官就会针对当下的疫情来提问。同时，考官也会随机问一些传统类话题，比如学员如何看待婚姻，如何看待朋友的作用等。
简言之，考研英语复试口语当中的话题不是无据可依，反而是非常有规律可循的。所以同学们可以针对每一类话题的答题思路和答题要点来进行准备。
