把口语课上成活动课试探

广州市是较早在小学开设英语课的地区之一，到目前为止，天河区大部分学校一至六年级都开设了英语课，英语特色基本形成。但众所周知，有些学校对一、二年级的口语课不够重视，往往是把口语课“搭配”给教中、高年段的英语老师，而这些老师又由于受到诸多因素的影响，都觉得口语课不好上或上课的气氛、效果不理想。久而久之，学生也可能会对英语产生厌学情绪，这是与口语课的开设目的相悖的。因此，如何上好口语课是一个不容忽视的问题，很值得探讨。我去年担任学校一、二年级的口语教学任务后，一直在探索着如何不断提高学生课堂上学习英语的兴趣。小学生好奇心强，模仿性强，“爱动”是他们的天性。于是我在教学中顺应孩子们的成长规律，以教促长，激发学生的学习兴趣，让孩子们积极参与，在轻松愉快的氛围中上好口语课，学中乐，乐中学；把单纯的口语课上成活动课，使学生在动中学，学中动，充满乐趣地学习语言，培养运用语言的能力。现结合自己多年的教学实践，谈谈对上好口语课的一些初浅认识。

一、创设并利用交际情景组织课堂教学

教学中创设各种活动情景，使知识的系统性、活动的操作性、审美的愉悦性融为一体。强调特定的氛围，引起无意注意，激发孩子们热烈的情绪，在优化的情绪中主动地活动起来，产生动机、体验情感，感知和运用语言、通过观察、听、想、说、触等一系列活动，加上卡片、挂图、音乐、唱歌、游戏创设的情景，进行语言训练，使学生有身临其境的感觉，在感受中学习语言，训练听说能力。

1、教师设置情景，学生积极参与。首先我在引入课题学习新知识或在上课过程的环节衔接上下功夫，创设一定情境，启发学生感知语言的意义，如教“Glad to see you.”这个句子时，我先走到教师门口，请学生注意看和听，并猜猜我说的是什么意思，然后我面带微笑，快步走到一位同学跟前说“Glad to see you.”并和他亲切的握手。我接着又重复了几遍，这样学生自然而然地懂得了意思，且能把听到的句子“Glad to see you.”说出口。最后，我趁热打铁，引出“Glad to see you, too.”跟着小组练说，再上台表演。这样，把单调的教单词、句子的方法变成多彩的方式，激起学生学习英语的兴趣。

2、“景中有我”。学生自己扮演角色，置身于情景之中。让学生在学习过程中扮演生活的角色，如：“爸爸、妈妈、爷爷、奶奶”等。他们往往会感到亲切无比，乐不可支。同时，童话角色是孩子们最喜欢扮演的，童话的魅力，使学生们增添了无穷的活力和趣味，他们的主动性大大增强，从而更好地在情景活动中学会英语和说英语的能力，领会和运用语言。

3、情景教学中不可忽视的背景知识教学。创设好的语言环境固然是十分重要与必须的，但是忽略了语言的背景知识，将不可能提高在正确的语境中运用语言的能力。语言交际能力就是把语言运用到实际生活中进行交流的能力。因此，了解英语国家的社会文化，风俗习惯等背景知识，才能正确、恰当使用英语口语。如我在教“How old are you？”时，我问学生“How old are you？”学生回答“I`m seven.”反过来，学生问我时，我只回答：“It`s a secret”并向学生解释这句话使用的场合及其背景知识，使学生得以正确使用语言，无形中英语对学生的吸引力也有增无减。

二、调动学生以最佳状态投入学习活动

活泼、爱动是孩子们的天性。怎样使他们“动”？怎样使“动中学，学中动”有机会结合？我认为要全方位把学生调动起来，动脑、动口、动手、动耳、动眼，以最佳状态投入学习活动。如：每节课的热身环节一唱英语歌，我都会叫学生一起唱，一边跟着节奏一起拍掌（或做其他与歌曲内容有关相协调的动作）。这样，即使个别同学在调皮，他在如此热烈的气氛中也无暇去搞小动作了。又如：学习动物的单词或动物所说的话时，可根据各种动物的特点用形态表现出来，rabbit（兔子），可把双手食指和中指伸直放在头顶上，再离开座位蹦跳一下；ck（鸭子），可把两只手掌放在一块摆动；tiger（老虎），可做老虎状，双手一张，嘴一咧就扑向猎物，于是各种各样的动物就活灵活现地展现出来了。教句子亦可见机行事让学生动起来，如我教“Let`s play together.”时，鼓励学生想象，允许邀请人和被邀请者起立做出各种“play”的动作。当然，活动课中的“动”不是追求形式的生动，而是通过学生的活动，充实教学内容，丰富教学形式，让学生乐中学，学中乐。

三、加快师生课堂上的节奏

“快”，并不是老师的语速快，内容多，而是教师上课节奏快和学生反映快、思维快、训练速度的节奏快，进行多形式、多手段、多环节的课堂训练，体现出“节奏快”的教学特点。小学生注意力集中的时间短暂，且注意力易分散。一旦教学节奏慢了，就会出现学生做小动作或小声说话等注意力不集中的现象。为避免这一点，教师应抓住注意力集中的短暂时刻，以学生能接受的节奏进行有利的引导，如游戏、唱歌、猜谜、做动作、抢答竞赛等。通过快节奏、大容量、大密度、多形式的一环扣一环的活动，使学生紧随教学内容，既紧张又活泼，学生积极性高、不厌倦。学生训练密度大，熟练程度就显而易见，学生也就积极参与活动。

四、经常更换教学手段

若长期不更换教学形式或手段，学生的学习兴趣就明显不高，会感受到索然无味，产生不爱上英语课的倾向，为防止学生产生厌烦心理，教师要根据教材内容，有机利用教学挂图、投影片、动画录像片、录音机、简笔画、讲故事、童谣、歌曲、游戏等多种形式，经常更换教学手段，常常让学生保持新鲜感：上完一节英语课后，心里想着下一节英语课老师要上什么新知识呢？又会有什么新的竞赛形式呢？这样，学生带着欲望去学习，求知欲加强，便能学到更多的语言知识，并能交际使用。这反过来更能在口语课中活动得更出色，目的就完全达到了：通过多种游艺化教学激发学生学习兴趣，让学生们在听听说说、唱唱玩玩中打好外语口语的基础。

综上所述，我认为，把口语课上成活动课是完全可行的。如果我们把英语口语课上成活动课，不但可使教师从教得索然无味的境地中解脱出来，而且能使学生会说、敢说、多说、常说，养成爱说英语的良好习惯。
