小学数学教师口语评价的问题与对策
《数学课程标准》指出:“评价的主要目的是为了全面了解学生的数学学习历程,激发学生的学习热情和改进教师的教学行为。评价的手段和形式应多样化,应以过程评价为主。”教师口语评价作为一种即时性评价方式,在教学过程中发挥着管理、导向、调控、激励的作用,是教育评价的重要组成部分。分析当前小学数学教师口语评价存在的问题,研究相应的策略提高教师口语评价的质量,具有十分重要的意义。
一、问题与思考
新课程倡导“立足过程,促进发展”的评价理念。很多一线教师都能自觉地运用这一理念指导自己的教学行为,用充满真情实感、富有启发和激励的言语善待每位学生,实现了评价促进学生发展的目标。但不可否认的是,仍有少数教师的口语评价存在一些问题。
1.评价视角不全面。当前,一些教师往往热衷于对学生掌握教材上的知识的程度进行评价。其实,在数学学习中,学生分析问题和解决问题的能力,用数学的思维进行概括、推理、论证的能力用数学语言有条理、清晰、简洁地进行有效交流的能力,学生学习数学过程中获得的情感、态度和价值观等,也是需要教师进行口语评价的。
2.评价时机不恰当。新课程改革的开放式教学充分激活了学生的思维,课堂教学呈现出前所未有的生机和活力。但由于有些教师已习惯于过去“一言堂”式的教学,思维形成定势,往往抓不住学生灵活多变的思维主线,从而错过一个个精彩的知识衍生点,失去知识拓展的机会,最终无法实现评价应有的导向功能。如在教学人教版《数学》二年级下册“找规律”一课时,当学生发现了“地面图形”四种颜色排列的规律之后,有的教师就急于小结,因而错过了利用评价拓展学生思维的好时机,也没有及时利用口语评价你真是善于发现的孩子,那如果让你继续摆下去,第五行应该怎么摆呢?”而将课堂推向高潮。
3.评价内容不具体。一些教师在课堂上评价语言随意性太大,为了评价而评价,把评价当成一种形式。在实际教学中,没有注意学生存在的个性差异,总是用“你真聪明”“真能干”“回答得真好,表扬他!”“你说得不对,我再请一位同学说。”等“放之四海而皆准”的空洞的语言来评价学生。“真好”好在哪里?“不对”又错在哪里?学生不明白。这样的口语评价失去了它应有的价值。
二、对策与建议
在数学课堂里,学生对问题的回答不仅揭示了学习的状况,同时他的数学学习水平及所表现的情感与态度也在不经意间流露出来。教师要精心设计评价语,把握最佳时机,强化口语评价的针对性,让评价的语言帮助学生认识自我建立信心。
1.扩大视角,精心设计评价
语。教师在进行口语评价时,不仅要关注学生对知识的掌握程度和能力的发展程度,还要重视对学生的学习过程、情感态度和价值观方面的表现和发展,精心设计有利于学生发展的培养行为习惯、激发自主探索、重视激励、关注团队的评价语,养成良好的口语评价习惯,让课堂更具魅力。
(1)培养习惯的评价语。正如著名教育家叶圣陶先生所说:“什么是教育?简单一句话,就是要培养良好的习惯。”然而,良好的学习习惯不是一朝一夕就能养成的,需要教师有意识地、潜移默化地培养。在教学过程中,教师可以用诸如“他听得可认真了,善于倾听他人发言的孩子是会学习的孩子!”“你坐得真端正!注意力真集中!”等评价语引导学生养成良好的学习和生活行为习惯。
(2)激励发展的评价语。学生的潜能需要教师用口语评价来激发。在教学过程中,教师要让学生从学习中体验到成功,并引导学生将这种成功感转化为新的学习动机,从而形成良性循环。在教学实践中,以下一些激励学生成长的评价语值得借鉴:“你敢于向困难挑战,我要向你学习!”“你真有毅力,能坚持研究这么久!”“你有自己独特想法,真了不起!”“你的发现很有价值,你的发现对我们进一步学习有很大帮助。”
(3)鼓励质疑的评价语。学生敢于质疑,他们有自己独立思考的意识,不再“唯书”“唯师”,教师适度的赞美是学生敢于质疑的催化剂。在教学实践中,“会提问的孩子,就是聪明的孩子!”“小疑有小进,大疑有大进!”“没关系,大声地把自己的想法说出来”是一些教师常用的鼓励学生质疑的评价语。
(4)关注团队的评价语。作为新课程倡导的三大学习方式之一,小组合作学习在当前的课堂教学里被广泛应用。在评价时,将小组视为一个整体进行评价,有利于培养学生的团队精神和集体荣誉感。例如:“你完成得好极了如果能帮助你的同桌,那就更好啦!”“你是一个很优秀的记录员不仅把观察的内容详细记录下来了,而且还写得非常端正、清晰!“你很像一个小老师,不仅管好了自己,而且把自己的小组也管理得很好。”这些口语评价,既注重了方法的引领,又培养了学生的团队意识,值得提倡。
