1、考试题材的不同

英语一的题材和体裁没有明确限制，考研英语一对能力考查没有降低相关要求。英语二的题材和体裁有明确限制，考生应能读懂不同题材和体裁的文字资料，题材包括经济、管理、社会、文化、科普等，体裁包括说明文、议论文和记叙文等。

英语二对能力考查降低了相关要求，英语二删除了“理解文章的概念性含义”和“区分论点和论据”这两条。此外“进行有关的判断、推理和引申”(引申在英语二中不做要求)。

2、词汇的具体要求不同
