When a light passenger plane flew off course some time ago, it crashed in the mountains and its pilot was killed. The only passengers, a young woman and her two baby daughters, were unhurt. It was the middle of winter. Snow lay thick on the ground. The woman knew that the nearest village was miles away. When it grew dark, she turned a suitcase into a bed and put the children inside it, covering them with all the clothes she could find. During the night, it got terribly cold. The woman kept as near as she could to the children and even tried to get into the case herself, but it was too small. Early next morning,she heard planes passing overhead and wondered how she could send a signal. Then she had an idea. She stamped out the letters 'SOS' in the snow. Nowadays, English is considered to be a global language so we can use it to communicate with people from other countries more easily. Therefore, we believe that more attention should be given to teaching and learning spoken English and this can be done by testing spoken English.

Because parents are having fewer children, they increasingly feel the need to control the lives of those children. As a result, many children are becoming less independent, determined and ambitious than in the past.
Parents today discourage their children from doing housework, extracurricular activities and socializing because they fear it will interrupt their ecation. For example, when I was younger I wanted to learn the guitar but my parent wouldn’t allow me because they believed it would distract me from my studies. They are happy as long as I perform well in my exams but don’t seem concerned about how I develop as a person.
To some extend, I understand parents’ concerns, but I think they should love their children for who they are, not what they want them to be. We deserve the chance to chase our own dreams and learn on our own. Even if we fail, we can learn from those failures.

本次广一模的阅读确实是难，除了理解文章外还要细心和具备一定的常识和推理判断能力。针对错题要反思当时自己是怎么想的，和给出的答案有什么不一样。做多了，阅读能力自然也就会上去了。

这次阅读出的很活，来但是前源3篇都是比较有迹可寻的。最后一篇相对抽象一些。
如果你都不好的话，我觉得你的单词量和对单词的反应是不是比较慢，或者是你阅读广度和深度都不够（这里包括中文和英文的阅读）。没有一定的阅读深度，你会对阅读的内容反应慢而且觉得很难理解，以至于看了两三次你都可能会揣摩不出其中的意思。
所以这里有两个点，一是对单词的反应，二是阅读的广深度。你可以针对这两点展开后期工作。不过，还有两个月多一些，尤其阅读这种东西，不是一天两天就可以磨出来的。所以，你要很努力才可以啊。

第一篇：
Augus Macleod已经五十岁，他倾其一生在苏格兰西北部山区当一名牧羊人。他从未讲过收音机、电视，甚至没有去过离他出生地40千米之外的地方。他所有的知识都来自于在村子卖羊和买食物的过程。然而，最近他开始从越来越多的登山者那里获得国际新闻。
在1992年的春天，一名西班牙学生在高山上碰到了Augus，为了练习他的英语，他和Augus攀谈起来。他告诉Augus即将在巴塞罗那剧情的奥运会。受到这学生对西班牙和奥运会声情并茂的描述的感染，Augus决定以个人名义参加这场盛会并在两个月后抵达巴塞罗那。

希腊的帕太农神庙是一座有着悠久历史的建筑。它作为祭拜雅典娜女神的神庙修建于2500年前，几千年来，它变为圣母玛丽的教堂，然后清真寺，最终成为一片废墟。整个建筑已看不出原有的样子，很多雕像经过数世纪的洗礼已不成形。到到18世纪，只有大约一半的雕刻作品还保存着先前的模样。
