3、 培养正确的阅读方法：基于学生语法知识很差，我通常建议学生带着问题找答案。（如果文章比较简单，就采取限度文章了解大意，再去做题。）其次，要加强学生课外阅读的训练，提高学生的阅读理解能力。
要提高学生的英语阅读能力，还需要结合学生的具体情况，有计划地指导他们阅读一定数量的课外读物。这样才能才能积累大量的词汇，扩大知识面，培养语感，提高阅读技巧，形成良好的阅读习惯，从而具备较强的英语阅读能力。但是在选择阅读材料时，要注意形式和内容在难易程度上的搭配，会使学生失去阅读的兴趣的题材。这样学生才会主动去读，也才能很好的达到目的。
总之，教师在课堂教学过程中有目的地教授阅读技巧和学习方法，有利于学生掌握扎实的英语基础知识与基本的阅读技巧，也有利于培养学生的自学能力，提高学生的阅读能力。但除此之外，还需要大量的、广泛的课外阅读。要促使学生养成良好的阅读习惯，培养语感，提高阅读能力，从而全面提高学生应用英语的能力。
