She found out that people USED TO play the piano for fun. They also hung a photo of Queen Victoria on the wall. She ruled England. There were no lights then. It was cold and DARK in the room. People used fire for light. Lots of insects DIED when they flew to the light. There was no sofa or TV in the house, either. The toilet was at the back of the house. There was no candy to eat, no posters of pop stars, and no CDs or computers in the house. There was a cat, though. By studying, Josie learned about what daily life was like in 1990.
