而这两方面反映到具体的阅读英语能力上表现为很多学生读到一个复杂一点的英语句子不能立刻反映出这句话的意思，即使这句话中的单词都认识的情况下，也不能通过一遍阅读出这句话的整体意思。其实，这都是对于被动式接受信息的能力没有掌握造成的。

一、传统阅读方式的过程剖析

在学校里，很多老师传授的阅读句子的方法往往是通过分析英语句子的语法结构来帮助理解句子的意思。也就是说，当看到一个复杂的英语句子而不能理解句子意思时，首先要分析出句子的主要成分——主语、谓语和宾语；以及其他相关的修饰成分——修饰词或是修饰从句。再根据主次意思，按照分析出的复杂结构，把每个分句的意思拼装成整句话的意思去理解。比如以下这个例子：

因此，例句一的中文解释应该翻译成：

这样一来，一个英文长句子就可以通过找到断点断成较短的中文句子。理解起来就容易了很多。但同时又有一个问题出现了，在第一遍读句子时，如何判断句子的断点在哪里呢？当读中文的时候，其实只要是感觉到一句话或者是一个意思说完整了，就会在下一个意思开始之前断句。这种感觉的根据还是语意的完整性。这种判别的方法当然也适用于英语句子。虽然每个人的英语能力不同，但是只要是当读英语句子时感觉到一个意思说完整了，就可以在这里断句。

3.学会在英语中加词
