与路瑶的初遇，在《平凡的世界》。初读《平凡的世界》，对于他的敬佩之情便犹如涛涛不绝的江水一般。他给我展现了一个真实、朴素的农村。读《平凡的世界》从未有过乏味，每一个片段，都如电影一般在我的脑海中一幕幕放映着。
主角孙少平，一个贫困家庭的孩子对于劳动力紧缺的农村来说，大部分的孩子都在初中时就退了学，读书只是一个形式，似乎回家务农就是他们的宿命。
少平并不甘于一辈子只留在农村做一个农民，他对外面的世界有着迫切的渴望，于是他选择了一条与大多数人相反的路，去黄原做小工，事实证明，也许你选择一条不一样的路，反而会有不一样的财富，只要你勇于创新，愿意吃苦，就一定有所收获。这样的品质也让他在矿里大有所得，踏实肯干，换来的是比他人更丰厚的工钱。
他从一无所有到留有存款，也有了支持家庭的能力，但真正改变那个贫困的家的还是大哥少安。
不愧同为中华儿女，同为一家人，两人身上都有勤劳、努力的如金子般宝贵的品质和一颗不甘心渴望成功，渴望改变的上进心。
