少儿英语教育的相关培训机构也认同英语阅读的重要性，并在课程设置上有所倾斜。读伴儿创始人、瑞思学科英语董事长王兰柱说，英语学习的下一个重点，是提升孩子“言之有物、言之有理”的能力，让孩子真正能把语言用起来。言之有物，就要求孩子基于英语形成对世界基本概念的体系化认知；言之有理，则要求孩子对自己所获取的信息要有所感悟、有所思辩。而这一切，仅靠看动画片、读故事绘本或者练口语很难解决，系统化的阅读是英语教育必须重视的部分。

徐涛是一名6岁孩子的父亲，也是英语阅读的忠实实践者。多年来，他坚持与孩子一起做亲子阅读。他说，孩子的成长受益于此，因为阅读不仅仅是知识的获取，更是今后开展成功社会交往的基础。交往依靠表达，而表达不仅包括浅层次意义上的生活沟通，还有基于知识的深度思想交流，这必须依靠阅读来构建。
