好，現在可以來分析一下整個句子的組成了。
名詞「意外」作主語，動詞「是」作謂語，動詞「可以」也只能作謂語，名詞短語「避免的」當然是作賓語了，這樣的「主-謂-謂-賓」的結構，在語法上是錯誤的。
修正：

一種簡單的辦法，是改成「主-謂-賓」的結構。由於有兩個動詞可供選擇，因此也有兩種方案：
a、意外是避免的。
這樣修改的話，語法上沒錯，但邏輯上不對。
b、意外可以避免的
這樣修改語法和邏輯上就都正確了
還有一種修改方法，即方案C：
c、意外可以避免。
不過在這種方案中，「可以」是副詞，「避免」是動詞了，句子變成了「主-謂」結構。

個人的一些小看法：
1.名詞： 單復數用錯。
原因: A:受中文母語影響，中文裡只需加上回數詞或者其他代表數量級程答度的詞，無須變形就可作為復數意義，而英語有單復數之別，有集體名詞代表復數等區別。
B:英語單詞中變形規則不熟悉。尤其是不規則的變形。
2 動詞：動詞變形如動詞原形，第三人稱單數區別。
原因： 和名詞出錯的原因雷同。受母語中文的影響。不規則變形。
3. 時態。
原因: 中文時態表達只需要通過時間點或者介詞來表達。
而英文中，有四大類，過去時,現在時,將來時,過去將來時。細分可以到8類，再細分到16類。
4. 單詞用錯
原因：（哈哈，主要是我們詞彙量不夠，容易不小心誤用），包括褒貶含義等。
總之，學習一門語言，最主要是練習，交流。交流，練習。
practice makes perfect.錯誤就會越來越少。
