該部分為單項選擇題；每題在一或兩句話中留出空白，要求考生根據特定的語境、語法和詞彙知識選出一項可填入句中空白處的最佳選項。
2．完形填空
該部分為單項選擇題；為考生提供一篇200詞左右的英語短文，文中留出10個空白，文後為每個空白處留有四個可供選擇的詞或片語，要求考生在通讀全文、領會大意的基礎上，從備選詞或片語中選出一個最佳選項，將短文內容補充完整。補全後的短文應用詞准確、語意連貫、結構完整。
3．閱讀理解
該部分為單項選擇題；試卷呈現A、B、C三篇短文，每篇文長在200—250詞左右。短文後設5個問題，每個問題有四個備選答案，要求考生根據短文內容，選出一個正確答案。
4．補全對話
該部分為集庫式選擇題。可有兩種考查形式。每年度試卷只選一種。
形式一：向考生提供一段不完整的對話，對話中留出5個空白，要求考生根據交際情境和相關交際原則，從備選的7個選項中選出5個最恰當、得體的句子，將對話補充完整。
形式二：向考生提供五段簡短對話，每段對話中留出1個空白，要求考生根據每段對話
的交際情境和相關交際原則，從備選的7個選項中選出5個最佳選項，將每段對話補充完整。
5．閱讀回答問題
該部分為主觀性試題；為考生提供一篇200詞左右的短文，文後設5個問題，要求考生在閱讀理解短文內容的基礎上，按照題目要求用英語回答問題，完成任務。
6．英譯漢
該部分為主觀性試題；為考生提供一篇200詞左右的短文，要求考生在閱讀理解文章內容的基礎上將文內5處畫線的短語或句子翻譯成通順的漢語。
7．寫作
該部分為主觀性試題；要求考生根據所給情境和相關要求，用英語寫一篇不少於60詞的短文。情境可包括對象、時間、地點、內容等；情境提供方式可為圖畫、提綱等。短文要求拼寫准確、語法規范、語句通順、意義連貫、結構完整。
