一、語法教學中存在的難點
1、英漢思維、英漢表達的差異
中國人與西方人在對問題的表述方法上，確實存在許多差異，這些差異束縛了學生，成為他們英語學習中的困難。比如說，在地址表述中，英文是由小地點到大地點表達；而漢語，則習慣於由大地點到小地點表達。再例如，漢語表述：桌子上有幾本書？英語則表述為：There are some books on the desk. 這種表達的差異性，在扭轉過程中，因需要調整、適應而造成一定的學習困難。
2、語法項目紛繁復雜
每個單元都有新的語法項目，這些項目重現率低，運用機會少，也致使學生學習起來感到生疏。例如，在英語教材的單元中，蘊涵著各種基本句型和名詞、形容詞、代詞等各種詞性，還有主語、謂語、賓語、補語、狀語、定語等句式結構，以及相關的時態和語態的使用方法等等，都對學習形成壓力。
3、語法教學單調乏味
語法教學由於理論性強，教師發揮性差，互動性少，使得教學內容枯燥而不具備生動性，學生容易產生畏難情緒；課堂氣氛也往往沉悶，學生易產生疲勞心理，這些都對語法教學效果提出了挑戰。教師若不能正視這些客觀性，把語法帶到生活情境中講解，就會陷入枯燥教學境地。
二、語法教學中存在的問題
1、課堂操練僅留於形式
有些教師在課堂中不應直接講解語法，語法教學會減弱學生學習英語的興趣，會使學生產生厭學情緒。於是就出現了這樣的現象：教師在語法教學中要求學生一味進行機械模仿操練，不引導學生觀察語言結構、歸納語法規律，表面上學生通過操練能較流暢地表達，但學生並沒有真正理解掌握語法知識，在實際交際中不能運用准確和得體的英語進行口頭表達，也寫不出幾句完整的句子，難以實現語言高質量的輸出。
2、直接講解仍不時出現
有些教師在讓學生模仿操練後，生怕學生不能記住語法知識，於是採取「先操練後講解」。在學生操練之後，教師直接講解語法知識，單向灌輸，學生被動記憶。學生雖然在較短時間內似乎掌握了目標語法，但沒有經過思維，被動獲得的知識難以內化為語言能力。於是，就出現了雖經多次講解的語法，學生仍不會准確運用的現象。
3、訓練內容缺乏語境支撐
在模仿操練中，很多教師仍僅關注語言的形式，所設計的操練形式和內容往往存在「為了訓練而設計」的現象，忽略運用語言時所需的語境。在特定的言語環境中學生表面順利實現了語言的准確輸出，但在具體語境中仍不會靈活運用。語言實踐是提升語言運用能力的必要途徑，這一途徑的實現必須以具體的語境為依託。了解了英語語法教學的難點及目前語法教學中存在的問題，在教學實踐中，我採取了下面的語法教學策略：
1、中學英語語法教學方法的選擇應體現其階段性：
七年級的英語教學中，教師主要是培養學生的學習興趣，通過有效的語法教學，增強其讀英語的興趣，增強其對英語這門課程的喜愛，使學生達到好學和樂學的目的。我們首先要找到影響語法教與學興趣的因素，為將來的發展鋪平道路。八年級是初中學生分化最為明顯的階段，隨著課程難度的加大，有些學生會失去信心，影響學習。此時教師要研究教法，突出教師主導、學生主體、教材主線的「三主教學法」；活躍課堂教學的氣氛，讓學生的眼、耳、手、腦、口都得到鍛煉，提高學習語法學習效率，從而培養他們濃厚的英語學習興趣。

我覺得一開始學習國際音標是最科學的，再學26個英文字母，然後是最最基本的3000個英文單詞，最後才是語法和課文。因為不會國際音標你就沒法學習英文字母，不會英文字母你急沒法學習單詞，不會單詞你就沒法學習語法和課文。而課文是所有這些的載體，只要能夠堅持每天朗讀中小學的英語教材並且把課文全部背誦下來，肯定你的英語基礎就打得很牢固。雖然有人說學語法沒用，但是對於中國人學習英語而言，語法是一條捷徑，因為它是多年來英語專家的權威總結，可以幫你少走很多彎路。最後就是口語學習階段了，最好的教材就是美劇，給你推薦一部《老友記》全部有十季，不能看字幕，堅持反復看，直到能夠把裡面的口語表達都弄明白並且會使用了，你的美式英語水平就可以超過重點中學的英語老師了。以下是推薦的語法書：

1.《英語語法新思維》初級、中級、高級

4.《《朗文英語語法》

作者：L.G.亞歷山大【推薦所有「新概念英語」的老師和相關學員閱讀】

本書作者，比這本書更有名——世界著名的英語教學權威、曾任歐洲現代語言教學委員會理事、其著作（NCE,FollowME）為交際教學法奠定基礎的L.G.亞歷山大教授。

外國人自己寫的語法書，原汁原味。而且「實用性強，針對性強」（薄冰教授評語）。但由於漢語與英語屬於不同語系，因而，作為英國人的亞歷山大教授在本書的編寫過程中無法顧及到中國學生的學習難點和中文本身與英文的差異點。這也是幾乎無法避免的缺憾。
