背單詞最科學的方法
怎樣才能把這么多單詞背下來呢？最重要的一點，就是：...如果想比別人成功，就一定要走捷徑。不要期盼自己比別人幸運，也不要指望自己比別人更聰明或者更勤奮。從智力上說，從機遇上說，自己和別人都是差不了多少的，想超過和自己差不多的人，就一定要走捷徑，捷徑，捷徑！
背單詞捷徑的第一條，就是：一定要每次都大量地背。因為自己不比別人聰明，所以背完單詞，別人忘掉五分之一，自己決不會比別人忘得少。然而，別人每天背十個單詞，自己卻可以背一百個，忘掉五分之一，還剩八十個，是別人最聰明狀態下的十倍。每天一百個是最低限。其實背到後來您會發現這個要求並不高，一個月後，您可能自然而然地就背到三百或者五百。
這一百個要分成四組來背，上午三十,中午十個，下午三十，晚上三十。第二天早晨復習以前沒背下來的詞。背的時候，要一目十詞(注意，是十個而不是更多或更少)，不要認認真真背，因為沒有認認真真的時間。一邊看一邊讀每個詞的讀音，默讀也成。看完後回憶一遍，回憶不起來的再看。這次背的目的在於留下個大概印象，下次看見能知道這個詞，所以背到大部分都能回憶得起來就成了，把剩下的詞單獨抄出來。
背單詞捷徑的第二條，就是：背字典！為什麼要背字典呢？因為字典上每個詞的解釋比較全面，而且相同字母開頭的單詞都集中在一起。不是什麼字典都可以拿來背的，一定要找只包含自己想背的詞的字典。另外，最好有解釋和例句。而且，一定要有音標！一般教材課文後面的詞彙表都是為那些認認真真聽課的好學生准備的，想走捷徑就千萬不要去背那些東西。
背字典的時候，按開頭字母(Z,Y,X,Q,J,K,U)(V,W,N,O,L)(FG,IT,HM,BDE,R)(C,P,S,A)的順序背，其中C,P,S,A每個都要分三部分背。這樣背有幾個好處：（一）能增加成就感，提高興趣。至於為什麼，您翻翻字典就明白了。（二）便於清楚地知道那些單詞已經背過，那些還沒背。（三）能先把最基本的詞先掌握。
三萬單詞里，分為三個等級：三千到四千，八千到一萬，兩萬二到三萬。也就是說，您得分別准備三本字典。這幾個等級之間各自有非常不同的特性，所以需要分別用不同方法背。俺當時沒有認識到這一點，所以在從一萬到三萬之間走了一段彎路，浪費了一些時間，不然或許能突破到五萬吧。
所以，背單詞捷徑的下面這條就有了三個分支：
背單詞捷徑的第三條，就是：和單詞多見面。一個單詞能不能記住，取決於和它在不同場合見面的頻率，不在於每次看著它的時間長短(同樣規律也適合於泡MM)。一般想記住一個單詞，每星期要和它在「不同場合」見三到四次面。俺在上文中提到大量背的時候，不要摳某一個字記住與否就是這個意思。因為是否一見鍾情都是無所謂的，關鍵在於有更多不同類型的見面機會。不過，根據要背的單詞的等級不同，增加見面機會的方式也有所不同。
第一個分支：瞎聽！三千到四千這個等級，是非常常用的單詞，而且幾乎囊括了表達最基本思想所需要的一切詞彙。每篇文章中百分之八十都是這些詞彙，而且這些詞都是最基本的語素(或稱「詞根」)，就是分割到最小無法再分割，互相之間也沒什麼類似之處的東西。對付這些詞的最好方法，就是進行大量的，不間斷的，簡單的初級聽力練習。因為閱讀材料中，還有百分之二十其他詞彙，所以光憑這個等級的詞還看不懂那些閱讀材料。但是聽力練習都是最基本的對話，而且發音一般很標准，多聽能夠增加單詞的重復率，而且可以為以後背八千到一萬那個等級的詞打下語音基礎。
聽的時候，要分精聽和泛聽兩部分。精聽當然是指每個詞都要弄懂，俺著重講一下泛聽。泛聽是最重要的，因為掌握語速和語調，以及總體印象都要靠泛聽。而這些都是背八千到一萬等級單詞的基礎。泛聽能夠讓經常用到的詞(也就是那些最必要掌握的詞)把您的耳朵磨出繭子來，讓您模模糊糊聽到個音就能反應出它是什麼意思。泛聽中您聽到的詞，才是您真正應該記住的詞，所以別害怕精聽的時候什麼都聽不懂。到底什麼是泛聽呢？泛聽，就是說您聽的時候，精神要分散，要一邊干著其他事(比如撮飯或和別人大聲討論撮飯~)，一邊有一搭沒一搭地聽著。泛聽一定要見縫插針，一有機會就聽著，最好耳機不離耳朵。
而精聽的意義就在於找出您沒聽清的那些詞。啊哈，那就是您背過但還不熟悉的詞了。把這些詞單獨記在另外一個地方，別跟沒背下來的詞混了。泛聽要聽精聽已經聽過的內容。比如精聽聽到了第二盤磁帶，那麼泛聽就聽第一盤磁帶，正好。提醒您一句，千萬別拿英語廣播當自己的聽力教材!!!
...第二個分支：狂看！八千到一萬這個等級，基本包含了剩下的百分之二十。這些單詞在聽力教材里很難找到。但是，可不要停止聽的練習呦，因為聽能鞏固您的語調感覺，而這是背這個等級單詞的一個關鍵。不過，背這個等級的詞，需要在聽以外增加看的內容。
看，同樣要分精讀和泛讀兩種。就象聽一樣，也是泛讀更重要一些。泛讀要挑不太長，能有耐心看完的文章，而且看不懂的詞不要太多，一篇文章有兩三個不認識的就足夠了。千萬不要一上來就看英語報刊雜志小說，那些東西不但很難看懂，而且看懂了也對背單詞沒什麼促進作用。
泛讀也需要大量練習，只要您有耐心，又有足夠時間，就一直看下去吧！看的時候不要仔細閱讀，掃一眼明白個大概意思就成了，然後把這一眼沒看懂的詞畫上記號，別琢磨它是什麼意思，繼續掃描吧！全部看完之後，回頭再看這些單詞，有的可能已經想起來了，有的....還沒想起來？那就查查字典，要是自己還沒背過，就扔掉它，要是已經背過了，就單獨抄下來吧，和聽力練習中沒聽出來的詞放在一起。
第三個分支：亂說！這只適合背兩萬二到三萬的詞。因為其他的詞不用說就已經背下來了。而這個等級的詞在閱讀材料里非常少，可能閱讀十篇文章卻一個這個等級的詞也沒有。所以靠閱讀來增加見面機會已經不行了。這些詞甚至有的老外一輩子都沒見過，咋能指望他們能寫出來呢？尤其是GRE詞彙，什麼"給馬穿衣服"，"紐約的流氓"，"從非洲吹向南歐的風"....這些詞都是一些精緻的修辭，也就是說，如果您話里凈是這些詞，那您可以假冒一位學者了。
一般的老外都是聽不懂您說的這些話的，所以不用這些詞也能表達同樣的含義。好了，您的機會來了，您可以跟老外講話中帶上這些單詞，然後很自豪地假裝謙虛地跟他們解釋這些詞的含義。
每次跟老外解釋一兩個詞就足夠了，老外會佩服您佩服得五體投地的。HL就向ws解釋吧！要大膽而耐心，尤其是大膽。
這個階段，您就別再練聽力了，因為練了進步也不大。還記得開頭那句話么？要想成功，得走捷徑。
凡是不能在短時期內取得巨大進步的行動，都不必浪費時間去做。
不過，這時候的閱讀材料成了問題：您會發現，過去看的東西覺得太淺沒意思，看其他深的東西又看不懂。您還會發現一個新的有趣現象：那就是您想看的文章里，現在全是第一個等級的那些詞，每個詞您都確切知道它的含義，但整個文章您就是看不懂。;Q
那您該看什麼呢？就看第二個等級的那些淺顯文章啊。雖然淺顯，但能幫助您不至於忘了過去背出來的成果。至於您看不懂的那些文章，別著急，等您和老外交流多了，您自然就懂了，那都是一些片語、俚語或文法組成的文章。
背單詞捷徑的第四條，就是：聯想，聯想，聯想，.....背單詞的第一個動作是什麼？端詳一下它的外貌。第二第三個動作呢？看看它的內涵和發音。而第四個動作，就應該是聯想，再聯想.....
聯想它和其他背過的詞有沒有外表類似的？讀音類似的？意思類似或相反的？如果有，就趕緊記在旁邊，在另外那些詞旁邊也把這個詞加上。這樣，以後看見其他詞，也會聯想起這個詞，等於又增加了一次見面機會。
而且，在第二、第三個等級的詞彙里，還有許多單詞是由"前綴"，"詞根"，"後綴"組成的，前綴比如"re"，"in"，"pseud"...，後綴比如"er"，"a"，"oid"...，然後共同組成一個新詞。如果掌握了這些前後綴，就可以很方便地猜出一個生詞到底什麼意思。另外，有很多讀音相近的詞也有相似的意思，這在俚語、詩歌和兒童用語中更普遍。如果每天記80個單詞，一個月只能背2400個單詞，但掌握了這些規律後，實際上背的速度越來越快，幾乎一萬多單詞都是不用背就會了的。
不過，在GRE單詞中，有很多是既沒有和其他詞的關系，又沒有前後綴，看起來既簡單又記不住的單詞。這些詞里邊有希臘語，義大利語，德語，拉丁語，甚至還有日語譯音。這就只能靠和別人解釋來掌握了。(HL一定要注意！)
背單詞捷徑的第五條，就是：復習！記得快，忘得也就快，這是一個非常正常的規律。在背單詞的過程中，復習就顯得非常重要。俺總結復習的規律是：十個單詞復習一遍，然後三十個單詞，然後是以前所有沒背下來的單詞。復習的時候，同樣不必細摳，粗略地掃一遍就可以了，但一定要想它的讀音(因為英語是象聲的)。最後背不下來的單詞，一定是不常用的，因為老外一樣背不下來。
每背完一個開頭字母的單詞，就要把前一個開頭字母的復習一遍。然後每背完前文中括弧裡面的開頭字母，就把上一個括弧里的復習一遍。復習的時候，要先看英文翻譯中文意思來一遍，然後再看著中文想它的英文單詞再來一遍。
前面說過，在泛聽，泛讀中忘了的詞要和背的時候就記不住的詞分著記下來，就是為了在復習的時候區別對待。忘了的詞，要每天看一遍，會了就劃掉，而記不住的詞則在背完了整個字母以後，單獨背一下這些詞，平常就不用看了。

現在完成時，過去完成時，將來完成時，過去將來完成時；
現在完成進行時，過去完成進行時，將來完成進行時，過去將來完成進行時．
一、 一般現在時:take 形式為原形。
例子：It takes me five years to finish the painting。
這幅畫花了我十年功夫
1.概念：經常、反復發生的動作或行為及現在的某種狀況。
2.時間狀語： always, usually, often, sometimes, every week (day, year, month…), once a week, on Sundays,
3.基本結構：動詞 原形 （如主語為第三人稱單數，動詞上要改為第三人稱單數形式）
2。二、 一般過去時： take 形式為 took.
1.概念：過去某個時間里發生的動作或狀態；過去習慣性、經常性的動作、行為。
2.時間狀語：ago, yesterday, the day before yesterday, last week,last(year, night, month…), in 1989, just now, at the age of 5, one day, long long ago, once upon a time, etc.
3.基本結構：be動詞；行為動詞 的過去式
三、 現在進行時:take 形式為 am/is/are taking
1.概念： 表示現階段或說話時正在進行的動作及行為。
2.時間狀語：now, at this time, these days, etc.
3.基本結構：am/is/are+doing
四、 過去進行時： take 形式為 was/were+taking
1.概念：表示過去某段時間或某一時刻正在發生或進行的行為或動作。
2.時間狀語：at this time yesterday, at that time或以when引導的謂語動詞是一般過去時的時間狀語等。
3.基本結構：was/were+doing
五、 現在完成時： take 形式為 have/has +taken
1.概念：過去發生或已經完成的動作對現在造成的影響或結果，或從過去已經開始，持續到現在的動作或狀態。
2.時間狀語：recently, lately, since…for…,in the past few years, etc.
3.基本結構：have/has + done
六、 過去完成時： take 形式為 had +taken
1.概念：以過去某個時間為標准，在此以前發生的動作或行為，或在過去某動作之前完成的行為，即「過去的過去」。
2.時間狀語：before, by the end of last year(term, month…),etc.
3.基本結構：had + done.
七、 一般將來時： take 形式為：am/is/are/going to +take ；
will/shall +take
1.概念：表示將要發生的動作或存在的狀態及打算、計劃或准備做某事。
2.時間狀語：tomorrow, next day(week, month, year…),soon, in a few minutes, by…,the day after tomorrow, etc.
3.基本結構：am/is/are/going to + do；will/shall + do.
八、 過去將來時： take 形式為：was/were/going to +take ；
would/should + take
1.概念：立足於過去某一時刻，從過去看將來，常用於賓語從句中。
2.時間狀語：the next day(morning, year…),the following month(week…),etc.

1.概念：在將來某一時刻之前開始的動作或狀態

1.陳述句（肯定） 陳述句是陳述一個事實或者說話人的看法.

特殊疑問句歸類
問「誰……」,「什麼……」,「在哪裡……」等這一類的問句叫做特殊疑問句.這種問句以疑問詞開頭.

第三冊：現在進行時、情態動詞、一般將來時（be going to的結構）、there be句型
1.現在進行時：通常表示此時此刻或當前一個時期內正在進行的活動.
I watch TV at the weekend.
I am watching TV now.
2.情態動詞：can 的一般疑問句及其答語.
情態動詞can 表示能力或者可能性（即客觀上是否允許）.
Can you jump high? Yes, I can. No, I can』t
3.一般將來時：be going to 的用法——表示打算（預備）做某事（表達的是主觀願望.）
We』re going to go to Hainan. I』m going to visit my grandpa.
4.there be 句型：
「在某個范圍內有…」,在第十模塊主要練習運用了在某個月份有幾個
同學過生日,在一年裡有十二個月.辨析舉例：
「there be」與「have got 」譯成漢語時都有一個"有"字,這二者之間又有什麼區別呢?
①there be表示「有」時,側重於客觀存在,常用於"某地(某時)有某物"
的句型,至於此物屬於誰則無關緊要.如：
There are twelve months in the year.
②have(has) got表示「有」時,側重於主觀方面,有"所有"的意思,常
用於「某人(某物)有某物」的句型,至於此物在何時何地則無需談及.如：
I』ve got a new book.
③有時候there be和have(has) got可以互換使用,句子意義沒有什麼差別.如：
We have got a lot of time. (＝There is a lot of time.)我們時間很多.
④有些情況下,there be和have是不能互換使用的.
I have two hands.我有兩只手.
(不能說：There are two hands on my body.)
「have got」 和 「have」 的區別
問題：一年級起點5冊 M6中,I『ve got a . Have you got a ...?
現在好象在生活中使用這種句型的場合及教材都比較少了.學生學起來也比較拗口.與此相關的幾個模塊也是難度比較大.
為什麼不用 I have a ... Do you have a ...?學生學起來也比較容易.
回答：have you got ... 這種說法更英式；Do you have ... 更美式.因為本套教材與英國合作編寫,所以拼寫、句式都更偏向於英式英語.
在教學時,這種表達方式當固定句型教授,不要把完成時等概念引入比較好.
5.some 的用法
教材中出現：Do you want some rice? Can I have some sweets?
含有some的肯定句在變成疑問句時,在下列情況之下, some不必變成any.例如：
①在固定片語中.
Do you usually do some shopping?你通常去購物嗎?
②在相當於祈使句的問句中.
Would you like some fruits?你想吃點水果嗎?
Do you want some rice?
③希望對方給予肯定的答復,表達請求語氣時.
Can I have some sweets?
6.疑問句歸類：
Where are you going ?
What are you/they doing?
What are you going to do?
Can you run fast?
Can I have some sweets?
Do you want some rice?
第四冊：一般將來時(will的用法)、形容詞的比較級、一般過去時
1.一般將來時表示將要發生的事情.
be going to 是打算,表示主觀意志
will 是將會,表示客觀將要.教師可以通過一定的語言情景用be going to 結構句式跟will 替換.
On Monday I』ll go swimming.可以替換be going to
Robots will do everything.這是人的推斷,不是機器人的打算,這個不可替換.
2.比較級
直接利用本班級學生、實物、圖片進行比較,學生進行語言感知.
Amy』s taller than Lingling.
Lingling is shorter than Amy.
3.一般過去時是用來表示過去發生的事情或存在的情況.一般過去時是用動詞的過去式表示的.
如：was were , did …
根據時間狀語now ,then ,tomorrow 歸類句子
例：I』m watching TV now . I watched TV then . I 『m going to watch TV tomorrow .題型舉例
四——六冊對動詞過去式的要求是把本冊出現的要記（默寫）下來.
三、Choose the word to complete the sentence.（選擇相應的單詞或片語完成句子.）
1. He _________ (get up , gets up, got up ) early this morning.
2. She _________ (drink ,drinks, drank) some milk last night.
3. Daming and his parents_______ (live, lives, lived) in a small house last year.

4.疑問句歸類：

第五冊：一般過去時、情態動詞 can should 、可數名詞與不可數（How many ,How much）、名詞性物主代詞、
1、在第四冊中出現過一般過去時的一般疑問句,在第五冊中出現了一般過去時的特殊疑問句.
根據學生熟悉的生活導入感知, 如：
——When did you go to bed last night?
—— I went to bed at nine o』clock.
——What did you do last night?
——I watched TV.
注意動詞形式的變化
2．Can 的用法
You can play football well. I can do it very well.
can 的否定句
They can』t see. They can』t walk.
3.可數名詞與不可數名詞
How many do you want ? How much milk do you want?
通過購物感受可數名詞與不可數名詞的提問方式有所不同
4 名詞性物主代詞：
This book is mine.( This is my book.)
讓學生理解總結 mine 和 my book 的關系,mine 和 my 的不同.

語法教學建議：
1、教材出版說明中指出：對課文中出現的一些語法內容,教師不需要講解
語法理論,更不要求學生掌握語法理論,而是要求學生在理解的基礎上初步學會運用這些語句.
2、讓學生在理解語言的前提下,或者在語境中去先接觸這個語法現象,體
驗這些語法結構在語境中的使用情況,然後讓學生自己通過觀察、歸納、總結去發現語法規則.
3、明確語法是語用之法,語法現象一定是在語境當中出現、語境當中訓練、
語境當中掌握.教師要緊密結合學生的生活實際,積極創造接近實際的情境,引導學生在真實的情境中理解、掌握和運用語法.
4、通觀整套教材,明確每冊教材的語法重點,把握好該語法點在整套教材
中的地位和作用,依託教材,開展有效的、有的放矢的語法教學.
5、第五、六冊教材的編排呈現了語法綜合的特點,因此需要適當引導學生
歸類,在把握好學生具備了一定語法知識的基礎上,系統地開展語法復習教學.

㈥ 我是高中生我的英語非常差我想問一下怎樣自學和買那本語法書 我們學的是北師大版的高中英語 初中是新課標
一、多利用零碎時間：將要學的單詞、短語做成小卡片，每天十個左右，每回當早起時，吃飯答前後，上學路上，上廁所，放學路上，午睡前後等等，總之，每天的每一個時刻，只要有時間或是想起來了，就拿出一張卡片記一記，這樣下來，一天最少也得記住五個左右。記得要時常復習。
二、將每天學到的單詞和句型，用自己的語言說出來。每天利用一小段時間，閉起眼睛，自己和自己說話，或自言自語說英語，胡說亂說，出聲地說，別管它語法對不對，總這么練習，不用很長時間再看看你的語言水平。
三、找一本簡單的語法書，記住不要死背語法，拿語法去分析你所見到的所有句子。剛開始不要太難。分析先從簡單句開始，再是從句，然後是非謂語動詞，一步一步來。推薦《賴世雄教你學英語語法》這本書，挺不錯的。通過分析句子，你英語的讀寫能力會有很大提高的。再一個，找一本比較簡單的英語讀物，最好是英文原版的，小說故事都行，還要有中文對照翻譯的，用於訓練分析英語語法。分析完一本書，再看看你的英語，是不是豁然開朗了。《賴世雄教你學英語語法》書可以在網上購買，講作mp3可以在網上免費下載，有幸的話還可在網上下載到此書的PDF版教材，注意啊，這書是有版權的呀。
㈦ 關於自學英語
自學的話是很需要能控制自己的，不然就是三天打魚兩天曬網的，而英語是最需要每天不斷學習的。另外，自學的話自學能力也很重要，不同的人學習方法確實不同的，現在學習或者考試的人很多，但是有的成績好有的不好就是因為有的人已經有自己的方法了，而有的人很盲目。比方說你學習的時候是喜歡自己看書還是喜歡聽講課呢，這都決定你學習的方式，是在家裡自己學習還是去選擇實體的或者網上的輔導班。所以，建議你首先考慮一下這三個問題，自控能力，自學能力及學習方法。我覺得這三點考慮好了才能有個好的開始。
另外應該有個目標吧，比方說你學習了一段時間後怎麼知道自己是什麼水平了，你可以去了解下有關英語方面的考試，一方面順便拿個證書也不是壞事，更重要的是要吧測試自己吧。
1。一切皆有可能，誰都能學好英語！但是也絕非輕易的事情。
2。在我上面所說的考慮好了的話，你再自學，應該還是要從基本的單詞，語法，語音入手吧，不然讀不會讀，看也看不懂，聽也聽不懂啊。
3。英語的語法都是有系統的，到書店翻語法書看看，就可以知道主要的語法是哪大幾塊，象時態這些是最基本的。
4。新概念教材也比較有名氣，也有階梯性，但我覺得好象不適合自學吧，零基礎我真的想不出能從哪裡下手，學習嘛，孤軍奮戰很難堅持的吧，還是找個學習班吧。
5。李洋說得好，英語不是腦力勞動，是體力勞動。不管什麼層次，英語學習都要背誦，記憶。不斷重復，總能記得住，這是真理。難哪！
6。必備品的嘛，除了參考書，就是磁帶，復讀機咯
7。我覺得英語就是有了一定基礎之後，然後自學的。等一般的語法掌握了，象大學生在課堂上也學不上什麼了，主要靠自己了。時間的話，一段時間如半年達到一個層次吧。

Lesson 39 : Am I all right?
While John Gilbert was in hospital, he asked his doctor to tell him whether his operation had been successful, but the doctor refused to do so. The following day, the patient asked for a bedside telephone. When he was alone, he telephoned the hospital exchange and asked for Doctor Millington. When the doctor answered the phone, Mr. Gilbert said he was inquiring about a certain patient, a Mr. John Gilbert. He asked if Mr. Gilbert's operation had been successful and the doctor told him that it had been. He then asked when Mr. Gilbert would be allowed to go home and the doctor told him that he would have to stay in hosptial for another two weeks. Then Dr. Millington asked the caller if he was a relative of the patient. 'No,' the patient answered, 'I am Mr. John Gilbert.'

1 ． Am I all right ？（標題）我是否痊癒？
all right 在不同的上下文中會有不同的含義。當指人的健康狀況時，它可以表示「安然無恙的」、「良好的」：
I was not very well last week, but I feel all right now. 我上星期有點不舒服，不過我現在覺得好了。
2 ． … he asked his doctor to tell him whether his operation had been successful, but the doctor refused to do so ． …… 他問醫生他的手術是否成功，但醫生拒絕告訴他。
whether 引導的從句在句中作動詞 tell 的直接賓語，是一個間接一般疑問句。（ cf ．本課語法）
so 在這里為代詞，代替前面的動詞不定式（在 to tell himwhether … ）。它一般出現 believe, do, expect, hope, say, tell, think, appear 等之後
3 ． The following day, the patient asked for a bedside telephone. 第 2 天，這位病人要了一部床頭電話。
（ 1 ） following 在這里相當於 next ，表示「緊接著的」、「其次的」。
（ 2 ） ask for 在這句話中表示「請求」、「要求（得到某個東西）」；在下一句話（ … asked for Doctor Millington ）中它表示「要求（某人）來（接電話）」。
4 ． … Mr ． Gilbert said he was inquiring about a certain patient ,a Mr ． John Gilbert ． …… 吉爾伯特先生說他想詢問一個病人的情況，是一位名叫約翰 • 吉爾伯特的先生。
（ 1 ） certain 在這里沒有「肯定的」、「確實的」等含義，而表示「某一」、「某位」，暗指說話者或說話對象可能對這人 / 這事不大清楚 / 熟悉，或所指的這個人身份不大清楚： Many years ago a certain doctor arrived in London. 許多年以前，有某個醫生來到了倫敦。
（ 2 ）在第 6 課的語法中，我們提到姓名前不加冠詞。但是， a/an 有時可以用在稱呼（ Mr ．， Mrs ．， Miss 等）前面，表示「我不認識的某某人」：
A Mr ． Gilbert phoned and left a message for you.
一位姓吉爾伯特的先生給您打來電話並留了言。
這種情況下， a 通常與表示「某一」的 certain 連用：
A certain Mrs ． Hart is waiting to see you. 有位哈特夫人正等著見您。

6 ． for another two weeks ，又兩個星期。
another 作為限定詞表示「另一個」、「再一個」的時候，通常與可數的單數名詞連用，不和復數形式連用；但是後面可以跟基數詞 /few+ 復數名詞（它們被當成一個整體）：
Do you need another cup of coffee? 你要不要再來一杯咖啡？
I need another three driving lessons before my test. 考試前我還需上 3 節駕駛課。
I need another few hours before I can finish my homework. 我還需幾個小時才能做完作業。
語法 Grammar in use
間接引語：間接疑問句在第 15 課的語法中，我們學習了間接引語的基本形式和間接陳述句的用法（包括時態變化等）。疑問句變為間接疑問句時有一些獨特的規律。首先引號和問號不再使用。其次，直接疑問句中的倒裝語序在轉述疑問句里要還原為陳述句語序（主語 + 動詞）。同時，如有必要，還需改變時態。
間接一般疑問句轉述一般疑問句時必須使用 if 或 whether ，不可省略。助動詞 do/does 和 did 在轉述疑問句里消失了。
ask, want to know, wonder 等後面的 if 和 whether 通常可以互換，但是 whether 表示的懷疑程度比 if 稍大。

1 ． exchange
（ 1 ） vt ．換，更換，調換（指同類事物之間）：
If you don't like the colour of this dress, you can exchange the dress in the shop. 你如果不喜歡這件衣服的顏色，你可以去商店換一件。
want to exchange the red skirt for a blue one. 我想把這條紅裙子換成藍色的。
（ 2 ） vt ．交換，互換：
met Frank at a bus stop this afternoon and we exchanged a few words. 我今天下午在一個公共汽車站碰見了弗蘭克，我們聊了幾句。 Did you exchange gifts after the party? 晚會結束後，你們交換禮物了嗎？
（ 3 ） n ．電話交換台：
He telephoned the hospital exchange and asked for Doctor Millington. 他掛通了醫院的交換台，要求與米靈頓醫生講話。
2 ． inquire
（ 1 ） vt ．， vi ．打聽，詢問： He wanted to inquire about a certain patient. 他想打聽一位病人的情況。 A Mr. John Gilbert inquired your telephone number. 一位名叫約翰 • 吉爾伯特的先生打聽您的電話號碼。
（ 2 ） vi ．調查，查問： He didn't tell the truth when the police inquired into the accident. 當警方調查這次事故時，他沒有說實話。
（ 3 ） vi ．求見（某人），要找（某人）

請去書店逛逛，親自去翻一翻。根據自己的喜好、情況，決定買哪一部語法書。
比如，如果是初中學生，就買中學生用的語法書就好。因為如果買的語法書講的太全面、太難、生詞太多，反而也記不住，看得頭暈，適得其反。
可以請自己的英語老師推薦。

學習語法的目的是什麼？
仍然是為英語學習的核心服務的：完全理解整個句子的句義！准確表達出來！
沒有正確的語法，表達出來的意思就是奇怪、不清楚、有歧義等等。
先學習句子的基本句型結構。大部分句子都是符合以下其中一種結構。
主語 系動詞 表語。
主語 謂語。
主語 謂語 賓語。
主語 謂語 賓語 賓語補語。

搞清楚句子主幹後，根據需要加上修飾補充成分：定語、狀語、同位語。
舉例：
小學學語法是這樣的：
Judy是只小兔子。
Judy是只（可愛的）小兔子。
Judy是只（人見人愛的）（可愛的）小兔子。
英語同理：
Judy is a bunny. （句子基本結構：主語系動詞表語）
Judy is a cute bunny.
Judy is a cute bunny who everybody loves.
學習語法書時，一定、一定重點學習簡單有趣例句。
理解、學會了例句，就學會了語法的，非常容易。
如果時間允許，請一定模仿例句，自己造出2～3個搞笑的例句和同學分享，欺負一下寶寶也行。
學會了句子基本結構，把框架搭好後，後面的學習就輕鬆了。
比如：
哪些可以做成分可以做主語呢？
名詞、代詞、動名詞、不定式、主語從句。
然後，在進一步慢慢學習：
名詞、代詞、動名詞等等。
舉例：
各種時態、虛擬語氣等等，都可以在學習謂語時，一步一步學習。
