背单词最科学的方法
怎样才能把这么多单词背下来呢？最重要的一点，就是：...如果想比别人成功，就一定要走捷径。不要期盼自己比别人幸运，也不要指望自己比别人更聪明或者更勤奋。从智力上说，从机遇上说，自己和别人都是差不了多少的，想超过和自己差不多的人，就一定要走捷径，捷径，捷径！
背单词捷径的第一条，就是：一定要每次都大量地背。因为自己不比别人聪明，所以背完单词，别人忘掉五分之一，自己决不会比别人忘得少。然而，别人每天背十个单词，自己却可以背一百个，忘掉五分之一，还剩八十个，是别人最聪明状态下的十倍。每天一百个是最低限。其实背到后来您会发现这个要求并不高，一个月后，您可能自然而然地就背到三百或者五百。
这一百个要分成四组来背，上午三十,中午十个，下午三十，晚上三十。第二天早晨复习以前没背下来的词。背的时候，要一目十词(注意，是十个而不是更多或更少)，不要认认真真背，因为没有认认真真的时间。一边看一边读每个词的读音，默读也成。看完后回忆一遍，回忆不起来的再看。这次背的目的在于留下个大概印象，下次看见能知道这个词，所以背到大部分都能回忆得起来就成了，把剩下的词单独抄出来。
背单词捷径的第二条，就是：背字典！为什么要背字典呢？因为字典上每个词的解释比较全面，而且相同字母开头的单词都集中在一起。不是什么字典都可以拿来背的，一定要找只包含自己想背的词的字典。另外，最好有解释和例句。而且，一定要有音标！一般教材课文后面的词汇表都是为那些认认真真听课的好学生准备的，想走捷径就千万不要去背那些东西。
背字典的时候，按开头字母(Z,Y,X,Q,J,K,U)(V,W,N,O,L)(FG,IT,HM,BDE,R)(C,P,S,A)的顺序背，其中C,P,S,A每个都要分三部分背。这样背有几个好处：（一）能增加成就感，提高兴趣。至于为什么，您翻翻字典就明白了。（二）便于清楚地知道那些单词已经背过，那些还没背。（三）能先把最基本的词先掌握。
三万单词里，分为三个等级：三千到四千，八千到一万，两万二到三万。也就是说，您得分别准备三本字典。这几个等级之间各自有非常不同的特性，所以需要分别用不同方法背。俺当时没有认识到这一点，所以在从一万到三万之间走了一段弯路，浪费了一些时间，不然或许能突破到五万吧。
所以，背单词捷径的下面这条就有了三个分支：
背单词捷径的第三条，就是：和单词多见面。一个单词能不能记住，取决于和它在不同场合见面的频率，不在于每次看着它的时间长短(同样规律也适合于泡MM)。一般想记住一个单词，每星期要和它在“不同场合”见三到四次面。俺在上文中提到大量背的时候，不要抠某一个字记住与否就是这个意思。因为是否一见钟情都是无所谓的，关键在于有更多不同类型的见面机会。不过，根据要背的单词的等级不同，增加见面机会的方式也有所不同。
第一个分支：瞎听！三千到四千这个等级，是非常常用的单词，而且几乎囊括了表达最基本思想所需要的一切词汇。每篇文章中百分之八十都是这些词汇，而且这些词都是最基本的语素(或称“词根”)，就是分割到最小无法再分割，互相之间也没什么类似之处的东西。对付这些词的最好方法，就是进行大量的，不间断的，简单的初级听力练习。因为阅读材料中，还有百分之二十其他词汇，所以光凭这个等级的词还看不懂那些阅读材料。但是听力练习都是最基本的对话，而且发音一般很标准，多听能够增加单词的重复率，而且可以为以后背八千到一万那个等级的词打下语音基础。
听的时候，要分精听和泛听两部分。精听当然是指每个词都要弄懂，俺着重讲一下泛听。泛听是最重要的，因为掌握语速和语调，以及总体印象都要靠泛听。而这些都是背八千到一万等级单词的基础。泛听能够让经常用到的词(也就是那些最必要掌握的词)把您的耳朵磨出茧子来，让您模模糊糊听到个音就能反应出它是什么意思。泛听中您听到的词，才是您真正应该记住的词，所以别害怕精听的时候什么都听不懂。到底什么是泛听呢？泛听，就是说您听的时候，精神要分散，要一边干着其他事(比如撮饭或和别人大声讨论撮饭~)，一边有一搭没一搭地听着。泛听一定要见缝插针，一有机会就听着，最好耳机不离耳朵。
而精听的意义就在于找出您没听清的那些词。啊哈，那就是您背过但还不熟悉的词了。把这些词单独记在另外一个地方，别跟没背下来的词混了。泛听要听精听已经听过的内容。比如精听听到了第二盘磁带，那么泛听就听第一盘磁带，正好。提醒您一句，千万别拿英语广播当自己的听力教材!!!
...第二个分支：狂看！八千到一万这个等级，基本包含了剩下的百分之二十。这些单词在听力教材里很难找到。但是，可不要停止听的练习呦，因为听能巩固您的语调感觉，而这是背这个等级单词的一个关键。不过，背这个等级的词，需要在听以外增加看的内容。
看，同样要分精读和泛读两种。就象听一样，也是泛读更重要一些。泛读要挑不太长，能有耐心看完的文章，而且看不懂的词不要太多，一篇文章有两三个不认识的就足够了。千万不要一上来就看英语报刊杂志小说，那些东西不但很难看懂，而且看懂了也对背单词没什么促进作用。
泛读也需要大量练习，只要您有耐心，又有足够时间，就一直看下去吧！看的时候不要仔细阅读，扫一眼明白个大概意思就成了，然后把这一眼没看懂的词画上记号，别琢磨它是什么意思，继续扫描吧！全部看完之后，回头再看这些单词，有的可能已经想起来了，有的....还没想起来？那就查查字典，要是自己还没背过，就扔掉它，要是已经背过了，就单独抄下来吧，和听力练习中没听出来的词放在一起。
第三个分支：乱说！这只适合背两万二到三万的词。因为其他的词不用说就已经背下来了。而这个等级的词在阅读材料里非常少，可能阅读十篇文章却一个这个等级的词也没有。所以靠阅读来增加见面机会已经不行了。这些词甚至有的老外一辈子都没见过，咋能指望他们能写出来呢？尤其是GRE词汇，什么"给马穿衣服"，"纽约的流氓"，"从非洲吹向南欧的风"....这些词都是一些精致的修辞，也就是说，如果您话里净是这些词，那您可以假冒一位学者了。
一般的老外都是听不懂您说的这些话的，所以不用这些词也能表达同样的含义。好了，您的机会来了，您可以跟老外讲话中带上这些单词，然后很自豪地假装谦虚地跟他们解释这些词的含义。
每次跟老外解释一两个词就足够了，老外会佩服您佩服得五体投地的。HL就向ws解释吧！要大胆而耐心，尤其是大胆。
这个阶段，您就别再练听力了，因为练了进步也不大。还记得开头那句话么？要想成功，得走捷径。
凡是不能在短时期内取得巨大进步的行动，都不必浪费时间去做。
不过，这时候的阅读材料成了问题：您会发现，过去看的东西觉得太浅没意思，看其他深的东西又看不懂。您还会发现一个新的有趣现象：那就是您想看的文章里，现在全是第一个等级的那些词，每个词您都确切知道它的含义，但整个文章您就是看不懂。;Q
那您该看什么呢？就看第二个等级的那些浅显文章啊。虽然浅显，但能帮助您不至于忘了过去背出来的成果。至于您看不懂的那些文章，别着急，等您和老外交流多了，您自然就懂了，那都是一些词组、俚语或文法组成的文章。
背单词捷径的第四条，就是：联想，联想，联想，.....背单词的第一个动作是什么？端详一下它的外貌。第二第三个动作呢？看看它的内涵和发音。而第四个动作，就应该是联想，再联想.....
联想它和其他背过的词有没有外表类似的？读音类似的？意思类似或相反的？如果有，就赶紧记在旁边，在另外那些词旁边也把这个词加上。这样，以后看见其他词，也会联想起这个词，等于又增加了一次见面机会。
而且，在第二、第三个等级的词汇里，还有许多单词是由"前缀"，"词根"，"后缀"组成的，前缀比如"re"，"in"，"pseud"...，后缀比如"er"，"a"，"oid"...，然后共同组成一个新词。如果掌握了这些前后缀，就可以很方便地猜出一个生词到底什么意思。另外，有很多读音相近的词也有相似的意思，这在俚语、诗歌和儿童用语中更普遍。如果每天记80个单词，一个月只能背2400个单词，但掌握了这些规律后，实际上背的速度越来越快，几乎一万多单词都是不用背就会了的。
不过，在GRE单词中，有很多是既没有和其他词的关系，又没有前后缀，看起来既简单又记不住的单词。这些词里边有希腊语，意大利语，德语，拉丁语，甚至还有日语译音。这就只能靠和别人解释来掌握了。(HL一定要注意！)
背单词捷径的第五条，就是：复习！记得快，忘得也就快，这是一个非常正常的规律。在背单词的过程中，复习就显得非常重要。俺总结复习的规律是：十个单词复习一遍，然后三十个单词，然后是以前所有没背下来的单词。复习的时候，同样不必细抠，粗略地扫一遍就可以了，但一定要想它的读音(因为英语是象声的)。最后背不下来的单词，一定是不常用的，因为老外一样背不下来。
每背完一个开头字母的单词，就要把前一个开头字母的复习一遍。然后每背完前文中括号里面的开头字母，就把上一个括号里的复习一遍。复习的时候，要先看英文翻译中文意思来一遍，然后再看着中文想它的英文单词再来一遍。
前面说过，在泛听，泛读中忘了的词要和背的时候就记不住的词分着记下来，就是为了在复习的时候区别对待。忘了的词，要每天看一遍，会了就划掉，而记不住的词则在背完了整个字母以后，单独背一下这些词，平常就不用看了。

一般现在时，一般过去时，一般将来时，一般过去将来时；
现在进行时，过去进行时，将来进行时，过去将来进行时；
现在完成时，过去完成时，将来完成时，过去将来完成时；
现在完成进行时，过去完成进行时，将来完成进行时，过去将来完成进行时．
一、 一般现在时:take 形式为原形。
例子：It takes me five years to finish the painting。
这幅画花了我十年功夫
1.概念：经常、反复发生的动作或行为及现在的某种状况。
2.时间状语： always, usually, often, sometimes, every week (day, year, month…), once a week, on Sundays,
3.基本结构：动词 原形 （如主语为第三人称单数，动词上要改为第三人称单数形式）
2。二、 一般过去时： take 形式为 took.
1.概念：过去某个时间里发生的动作或状态；过去习惯性、经常性的动作、行为。
2.时间状语：ago, yesterday, the day before yesterday, last week,last(year, night, month…), in 1989, just now, at the age of 5, one day, long long ago, once upon a time, etc.
3.基本结构：be动词；行为动词 的过去式
三、 现在进行时:take 形式为 am/is/are taking
1.概念： 表示现阶段或说话时正在进行的动作及行为。
2.时间状语：now, at this time, these days, etc.
3.基本结构：am/is/are+doing
四、 过去进行时： take 形式为 was/were+taking
1.概念：表示过去某段时间或某一时刻正在发生或进行的行为或动作。
2.时间状语：at this time yesterday, at that time或以when引导的谓语动词是一般过去时的时间状语等。
3.基本结构：was/were+doing
五、 现在完成时： take 形式为 have/has +taken
1.概念：过去发生或已经完成的动作对现在造成的影响或结果，或从过去已经开始，持续到现在的动作或状态。
2.时间状语：recently, lately, since…for…,in the past few years, etc.
3.基本结构：have/has + done
六、 过去完成时： take 形式为 had +taken
1.概念：以过去某个时间为标准，在此以前发生的动作或行为，或在过去某动作之前完成的行为，即“过去的过去”。
2.时间状语：before, by the end of last year(term, month…),etc.
3.基本结构：had + done.
七、 一般将来时： take 形式为：am/is/are/going to +take ；
will/shall +take
1.概念：表示将要发生的动作或存在的状态及打算、计划或准备做某事。
2.时间状语：tomorrow, next day(week, month, year…),soon, in a few minutes, by…,the day after tomorrow, etc.
3.基本结构：am/is/are/going to + do；will/shall + do.
八、 过去将来时： take 形式为：was/were/going to +take ；
would/should + take
1.概念：立足于过去某一时刻，从过去看将来，常用于宾语从句中。
2.时间状语：the next day(morning, year…),the following month(week…),etc.
3.基本结构：was/were/going to + do；would/should + do.
九.将来完成时： take 形式为：be going to/will/shall + have taken
1.概念：在将来某一时刻之前开始的动作或状态
2.时间状语：by the time of;by the end of+时间短语（将来）;by the time+从句（将来）
3.基本结构：be going to/will/shall + have done
十.现在完成进行时: take 形式为：have/has +been+taking
1.概念：在过去某一时刻之前开始的动作或状态一直持续到说话为止
2.基本结构：have/has +been+doing
十一：过去将来完成时：take 形式为：should /would have taken
基本构成形式：should /would + have done
十二：将来进行时。：take 形式为：shall/will be + taking
基本够成形式：：shall/will be + doing
十三：过去将来进行时：take 形式为：should /would be+taking

第三册：现在进行时、情态动词、一般将来时（be going to的结构）、there be句型
1.现在进行时：通常表示此时此刻或当前一个时期内正在进行的活动.
I watch TV at the weekend.
I am watching TV now.
2.情态动词：can 的一般疑问句及其答语.
情态动词can 表示能力或者可能性（即客观上是否允许）.
Can you jump high? Yes, I can. No, I can’t
3.一般将来时：be going to 的用法——表示打算（预备）做某事（表达的是主观愿望.）
We’re going to go to Hainan. I’m going to visit my grandpa.
4.there be 句型：
“在某个范围内有…”,在第十模块主要练习运用了在某个月份有几个
同学过生日,在一年里有十二个月.辨析举例：
“there be”与“have got ”译成汉语时都有一个"有"字,这二者之间又有什么区别呢?
①there be表示“有”时,侧重于客观存在,常用于"某地(某时)有某物"
的句型,至于此物属于谁则无关紧要.如：
There are twelve months in the year.
②have(has) got表示“有”时,侧重于主观方面,有"所有"的意思,常
用于“某人(某物)有某物”的句型,至于此物在何时何地则无需谈及.如：
I’ve got a new book.
③有时候there be和have(has) got可以互换使用,句子意义没有什么差别.如：
We have got a lot of time. (＝There is a lot of time.)我们时间很多.
④有些情况下,there be和have是不能互换使用的.
I have two hands.我有两只手.
(不能说：There are two hands on my body.)
“have got” 和 “have” 的区别
问题：一年级起点5册 M6中,I‘ve got a . Have you got a ...?
现在好象在生活中使用这种句型的场合及教材都比较少了.学生学起来也比较拗口.与此相关的几个模块也是难度比较大.
为什么不用 I have a ... Do you have a ...?学生学起来也比较容易.
回答：have you got ... 这种说法更英式；Do you have ... 更美式.因为本套教材与英国合作编写,所以拼写、句式都更偏向于英式英语.
在教学时,这种表达方式当固定句型教授,不要把完成时等概念引入比较好.
5.some 的用法
教材中出现：Do you want some rice? Can I have some sweets?
含有some的肯定句在变成疑问句时,在下列情况之下, some不必变成any.例如：
①在固定词组中.
Do you usually do some shopping?你通常去购物吗?
②在相当于祈使句的问句中.
Would you like some fruits?你想吃点水果吗?
Do you want some rice?
③希望对方给予肯定的答复,表达请求语气时.
Can I have some sweets?
6.疑问句归类：
Where are you going ?
What are you/they doing?
What are you going to do?
Can you run fast?
Can I have some sweets?
Do you want some rice?
第四册：一般将来时(will的用法)、形容词的比较级、一般过去时
1.一般将来时表示将要发生的事情.
be going to 是打算,表示主观意志
will 是将会,表示客观将要.教师可以通过一定的语言情景用be going to 结构句式跟will 替换.
On Monday I’ll go swimming.可以替换be going to
Robots will do everything.这是人的推断,不是机器人的打算,这个不可替换.
2.比较级
直接利用本班级学生、实物、图片进行比较,学生进行语言感知.
Amy’s taller than Lingling.
Lingling is shorter than Amy.
3.一般过去时是用来表示过去发生的事情或存在的情况.一般过去时是用动词的过去式表示的.
如：was were , did …
根据时间状语now ,then ,tomorrow 归类句子
例：I’m watching TV now . I watched TV then . I ‘m going to watch TV tomorrow .题型举例
四——六册对动词过去式的要求是把本册出现的要记（默写）下来.
三、Choose the word to complete the sentence.（选择相应的单词或词组完成句子.）
1. He _________ (get up , gets up, got up ) early this morning.
2. She _________ (drink ,drinks, drank) some milk last night.
3. Daming and his parents_______ (live, lives, lived) in a small house last year.

4.疑问句归类：

第五册：一般过去时、情态动词 can should 、可数名词与不可数（How many ,How much）、名词性物主代词、
1、在第四册中出现过一般过去时的一般疑问句,在第五册中出现了一般过去时的特殊疑问句.
根据学生熟悉的生活导入感知, 如：
——When did you go to bed last night?
—— I went to bed at nine o’clock.
——What did you do last night?
——I watched TV.
注意动词形式的变化

You can play football well. I can do it very well.
can 的否定句
They can’t see. They can’t walk.
3.可数名词与不可数名词
How many do you want ? How much milk do you want?
通过购物感受可数名词与不可数名词的提问方式有所不同

语法教学建议：
1、教材出版说明中指出：对课文中出现的一些语法内容,教师不需要讲解
语法理论,更不要求学生掌握语法理论,而是要求学生在理解的基础上初步学会运用这些语句.

㈥ 我是高中生我的英语非常差我想问一下怎样自学和买那本语法书 我们学的是北师大版的高中英语 初中是新课标
一、多利用零碎时间：将要学的单词、短语做成小卡片，每天十个左右，每回当早起时，吃饭答前后，上学路上，上厕所，放学路上，午睡前后等等，总之，每天的每一个时刻，只要有时间或是想起来了，就拿出一张卡片记一记，这样下来，一天最少也得记住五个左右。记得要时常复习。
二、将每天学到的单词和句型，用自己的语言说出来。每天利用一小段时间，闭起眼睛，自己和自己说话，或自言自语说英语，胡说乱说，出声地说，别管它语法对不对，总这么练习，不用很长时间再看看你的语言水平。
三、找一本简单的语法书，记住不要死背语法，拿语法去分析你所见到的所有句子。刚开始不要太难。分析先从简单句开始，再是从句，然后是非谓语动词，一步一步来。推荐《赖世雄教你学英语语法》这本书，挺不错的。通过分析句子，你英语的读写能力会有很大提高的。再一个，找一本比较简单的英语读物，最好是英文原版的，小说故事都行，还要有中文对照翻译的，用于训练分析英语语法。分析完一本书，再看看你的英语，是不是豁然开朗了。《赖世雄教你学英语语法》书可以在网上购买，讲作mp3可以在网上免费下载，有幸的话还可在网上下载到此书的PDF版教材，注意啊，这书是有版权的呀。
㈦ 关于自学英语
自学的话是很需要能控制自己的，不然就是三天打鱼两天晒网的，而英语是最需要每天不断学习的。另外，自学的话自学能力也很重要，不同的人学习方法确实不同的，现在学习或者考试的人很多，但是有的成绩好有的不好就是因为有的人已经有自己的方法了，而有的人很盲目。比方说你学习的时候是喜欢自己看书还是喜欢听讲课呢，这都决定你学习的方式，是在家里自己学习还是去选择实体的或者网上的辅导班。所以，建议你首先考虑一下这三个问题，自控能力，自学能力及学习方法。我觉得这三点考虑好了才能有个好的开始。
另外应该有个目标吧，比方说你学习了一段时间后怎么知道自己是什么水平了，你可以去了解下有关英语方面的考试，一方面顺便拿个证书也不是坏事，更重要的是要吧测试自己吧。
1。一切皆有可能，谁都能学好英语！但是也绝非轻易的事情。
2。在我上面所说的考虑好了的话，你再自学，应该还是要从基本的单词，语法，语音入手吧，不然读不会读，看也看不懂，听也听不懂啊。
3。英语的语法都是有系统的，到书店翻语法书看看，就可以知道主要的语法是哪大几块，象时态这些是最基本的。
4。新概念教材也比较有名气，也有阶梯性，但我觉得好象不适合自学吧，零基础我真的想不出能从哪里下手，学习嘛，孤军奋战很难坚持的吧，还是找个学习班吧。
5。李洋说得好，英语不是脑力劳动，是体力劳动。不管什么层次，英语学习都要背诵，记忆。不断重复，总能记得住，这是真理。难哪！
6。必备品的嘛，除了参考书，就是磁带，复读机咯
7。我觉得英语就是有了一定基础之后，然后自学的。等一般的语法掌握了，象大学生在课堂上也学不上什么了，主要靠自己了。时间的话，一段时间如半年达到一个层次吧。

Lesson 39 : Am I all right?
While John Gilbert was in hospital, he asked his doctor to tell him whether his operation had been successful, but the doctor refused to do so. The following day, the patient asked for a bedside telephone. When he was alone, he telephoned the hospital exchange and asked for Doctor Millington. When the doctor answered the phone, Mr. Gilbert said he was inquiring about a certain patient, a Mr. John Gilbert. He asked if Mr. Gilbert's operation had been successful and the doctor told him that it had been. He then asked when Mr. Gilbert would be allowed to go home and the doctor told him that he would have to stay in hosptial for another two weeks. Then Dr. Millington asked the caller if he was a relative of the patient. 'No,' the patient answered, 'I am Mr. John Gilbert.'

课文详注 Further notes on the text
1 ． Am I all right ？（标题）我是否痊愈？
all right 在不同的上下文中会有不同的含义。当指人的健康状况时，它可以表示“安然无恙的”、“良好的”：
I was not very well last week, but I feel all right now. 我上星期有点不舒服，不过我现在觉得好了。
2 ． … he asked his doctor to tell him whether his operation had been successful, but the doctor refused to do so ． …… 他问医生他的手术是否成功，但医生拒绝告诉他。
whether 引导的从句在句中作动词 tell 的直接宾语，是一个间接一般疑问句。（ cf ．本课语法）
so 在这里为代词，代替前面的动词不定式（在 to tell himwhether … ）。它一般出现 believe, do, expect, hope, say, tell, think, appear 等之后
3 ． The following day, the patient asked for a bedside telephone. 第 2 天，这位病人要了一部床头电话。
（ 1 ） following 在这里相当于 next ，表示“紧接着的”、“其次的”。
（ 2 ） ask for 在这句话中表示“请求”、“要求（得到某个东西）”；在下一句话（ … asked for Doctor Millington ）中它表示“要求（某人）来（接电话）”。
4 ． … Mr ． Gilbert said he was inquiring about a certain patient ,a Mr ． John Gilbert ． …… 吉尔伯特先生说他想询问一个病人的情况，是一位名叫约翰 • 吉尔伯特的先生。
（ 1 ） certain 在这里没有“肯定的”、“确实的”等含义，而表示“某一”、“某位”，暗指说话者或说话对象可能对这人 / 这事不大清楚 / 熟悉，或所指的这个人身份不大清楚： Many years ago a certain doctor arrived in London. 许多年以前，有某个医生来到了伦敦。
（ 2 ）在第 6 课的语法中，我们提到姓名前不加冠词。但是， a/an 有时可以用在称呼（ Mr ．， Mrs ．， Miss 等）前面，表示“我不认识的某某人”：
A Mr ． Gilbert phoned and left a message for you.
一位姓吉尔伯特的先生给您打来电话并留了言。
这种情况下， a 通常与表示“某一”的 certain 连用：
A certain Mrs ． Hart is waiting to see you. 有位哈特夫人正等着见您。
5 ． He then asked when Mr ． Gilbert would be allowed to go bome … 然后他又问吉尔伯特先生什么时候可以回家 …… would be allowed 为被动语态用于过去将来时。 when 引导的从句为间接疑问词疑问句。（ cf ．本课语法）
6 ． for another two weeks ，又两个星期。
another 作为限定词表示“另一个”、“再一个”的时候，通常与可数的单数名词连用，不和复数形式连用；但是后面可以跟基数词 /few+ 复数名词（它们被当成一个整体）：
Do you need another cup of coffee? 你要不要再来一杯咖啡？
I need another three driving lessons before my test. 考试前我还需上 3 节驾驶课。
I need another few hours before I can finish my homework. 我还需几个小时才能做完作业。
语法 Grammar in use
间接引语：间接疑问句在第 15 课的语法中，我们学习了间接引语的基本形式和间接陈述句的用法（包括时态变化等）。疑问句变为间接疑问句时有一些独特的规律。首先引号和问号不再使用。其次，直接疑问句中的倒装语序在转述疑问句里要还原为陈述句语序（主语 + 动词）。同时，如有必要，还需改变时态。
间接一般疑问句转述一般疑问句时必须使用 if 或 whether ，不可省略。助动词 do/does 和 did 在转述疑问句里消失了。
ask, want to know, wonder 等后面的 if 和 whether 通常可以互换，但是 whether 表示的怀疑程度比 if 稍大。
在表示两者挑一时更常用 whether ： She asked me whether I wanted tea or coffee. 她问我要茶还是要咖啡。转述疑问句中带有or not时，通常用whether引导

1 ． exchange
（ 1 ） vt ．换，更换，调换（指同类事物之间）：
If you don't like the colour of this dress, you can exchange the dress in the shop. 你如果不喜欢这件衣服的颜色，你可以去商店换一件。
want to exchange the red skirt for a blue one. 我想把这条红裙子换成蓝色的。
（ 2 ） vt ．交换，互换：
met Frank at a bus stop this afternoon and we exchanged a few words. 我今天下午在一个公共汽车站碰见了弗兰克，我们聊了几句。 Did you exchange gifts after the party? 晚会结束后，你们交换礼物了吗？
（ 3 ） n ．电话交换台：
He telephoned the hospital exchange and asked for Doctor Millington. 他挂通了医院的交换台，要求与米灵顿医生讲话。
2 ． inquire
（ 1 ） vt ．， vi ．打听，询问： He wanted to inquire about a certain patient. 他想打听一位病人的情况。 A Mr. John Gilbert inquired your telephone number. 一位名叫约翰 • 吉尔伯特的先生打听您的电话号码。
（ 2 ） vi ．调查，查问： He didn't tell the truth when the police inquired into the accident. 当警方调查这次事故时，他没有说实话。
（ 3 ） vi ．求见（某人），要找（某人）
She inquired for the manager. 她想见经理。 Who are you inquiring for? 你找谁？练习答案 Key to written exercises

请去书店逛逛，亲自去翻一翻。根据自己的喜好、情况，决定买哪一部语法书。
比如，如果是初中学生，就买中学生用的语法书就好。因为如果买的语法书讲的太全面、太难、生词太多，反而也记不住，看得头晕，适得其反。

学习语法的目的是什么？
仍然是为英语学习的核心服务的：完全理解整个句子的句义！准确表达出来！
没有正确的语法，表达出来的意思就是奇怪、不清楚、有歧义等等。
先学习句子的基本句型结构。大部分句子都是符合以下其中一种结构。
主语 系动词 表语。
主语 谓语。
主语 谓语 宾语。
主语 谓语 宾语 宾语补语。

搞清楚句子主干后，根据需要加上修饰补充成分：定语、状语、同位语。
举例：
小学学语法是这样的：
Judy是只小兔子。
Judy是只（可爱的）小兔子。
Judy是只（人见人爱的）（可爱的）小兔子。
英语同理：
Judy is a bunny. （句子基本结构：主语系动词表语）
Judy is a cute bunny.
Judy is a cute bunny who everybody loves.
学习语法书时，一定、一定重点学习简单有趣例句。
理解、学会了例句，就学会了语法的，非常容易。
如果时间允许，请一定模仿例句，自己造出2～3个搞笑的例句和同学分享，欺负一下宝宝也行。
学会了句子基本结构，把框架搭好后，后面的学习就轻松了。
比如：
哪些可以做成分可以做主语呢？
名词、代词、动名词、不定式、主语从句。
然后，在进一步慢慢学习：
名词、代词、动名词等等。
举例：
各种时态、虚拟语气等等，都可以在学习谓语时，一步一步学习。
