A: Now, today we will talk about friendship. What do you think about friendship?
B: Everyone needs friendship. No one can sail the ocean of life single handed. We need help from, and also give help to, others.
A: Yes, I agree with you. In the modern age, people attach more importance to relations and connections. A man of charisma has many friends. His power lies in his ability to give.
B: The term, friend, can be a nodding acquaintance, a comrade, a partner, a playmate, a brother, an intimate etc.
A: True friends share not only joy but, more often than not, they share sorrow.
B: Yes! Without friendship, our life is hostile , unfortunate and meaningless.
A: To many of my friends, I know what to treasure, what to tolerate and what to share, I will never forget my old friends and keep making new friends. I will not be cold and indifferent to the poor friends and will show concern for them.

1.For here or to go?
2. Does it go with drinks?
3. Is that all?
That's it!
4. Here you go!
5. I am fixing to go out.
I am about to leave.

6. I'll fix the plate for you.
I can fix the plate for you, 我立刻反應是, Is there any plate broken? I'll fix the plate
7. He is a redneck.
8. He has a bad accent.
9. Heidi, Hire Yew?
10. Oh hell no.
Oh hell no 其實就是等於 Of course not. 比如你問我, Are you married? Oh hell no. I am still single.
11. I went to Europe last month because my friends live over there.
通常他們不分東邊或是西邊,一律用 over there 或是 out there. 這時你就可以說 live out there 或是 live over there.

12. I drove all the way up to Boston.
All the way 翻成中文就是"一路到底" 的意思. I drove all the way up there. You can slide all the way down to the the bottom.

13. Never look down on people less superior than you.
Look down on someone Look up on someone.
14. Can you keep it down?
Can you keep it down?
15. Do you take money?
Do you take money? 要是他說 Yes, 再問他 How much?
There's no such thing as a free lunch.
16. Have you heard of Buffalo, New York? My parents live up there.
My parents live up there.
17 . Hey, look at the girl up there.
Look the girl down there
18. Let's call it a wash.
Let's call it a wash,
19. Pass the hat.
如果你去參加了一個所謂 pass the hat 的聚會, 就一定會用到 put in (plug in) 這個動詞. 例如, Everybody puts in 5 dollars.
20. Let's chip in 20 dollars to buy him a present.
OK. Let's chip in some money to call the locksmith.
21. How much is the cover?
How much to get in? How much is the cover? How much to get in?
22. I am broke.
No, I am broke. Maybe next time.
23. She just got a sugar dad.
24. Ching-Ching.
25. Is she big-boned?
Is she big-boned?
