Before entering college, I worked for a year as a security guard, a cashier in a liquor store, an orderly at New England Deaconess Hospital, and an art assistant at a Barnes and Noble Bookstore.1

你說的問題其實主要體現了幾個誤區。我不是什麼文字功底好的人，簡單給你說說。一般來講你學英語的本質問題在於你根本不喜歡學這門學科，你文章里處處透著想找方法的思維，其實正是體現了你欲速不達的錯誤。學英語和學漢語並不一樣，中國人學漢語其實並不是學說話那麼簡單了，涉及的東西更為深入，而學英語卻是真正的學說話，試問哪個人學不會說話，雖然有人說英語畢竟不是母語，但是誰也不會要求你要說到母語的水平，而且我們有充足的時間來磨練。說這的目的是你不能學不好就開始苦惱，把過多的時間用在找方法和苦惱上是學東西的大忌。當然也不是說你不能找方法，不過不要有速成想法，方法畢竟是輔助，而且大多是個人傾向，適合他的方法不見得適合你，方法也是已經學成的人總結的，就像佛說的渴了就喝餓了就吃，就是禪了，他說的出，你能明白，但是你卻做不到，這就是所謂方法的局限。
半天說到正題，英語作為一種語言，他的究極學習方法就是廣義上的多用。所謂多用就是多接觸，我們通常沒有非常良好的英語氛圍，尤其是對學生而言，考試的壓力大於學習實用英語的動力，換句話說，考試應對型的英語學習只能使你有有限的進步，也會促使學生對英語產生方案，另一方面，作為學生的話，沒有太多時間來學習英語，可悲的是，英語其實是最需要時間來學習的。我要說，你文中提到的你記不住單詞，其實和你的記憶力沒有關系，你本身對英語並不感興趣，所以看背單詞的時候缺乏熱情與深入理解，自以為記住了，比看誰都眼熟，其實保持的只是頭腦里的一陣興奮度，興奮度過了，自然就忘了。但是你在忘詞，諸如 a an the white black interesting congratulation一類的詞卻總不會忘，原因只有一點，就是鞏固，一個生僻詞，你記住了，十天八天不用可能還可以，一個月半年不用誰都會忘，所以記單詞不是單純的記單詞，還需要鞏固，最好的鞏固方法其實就是應用，學會了多和同學對話時候用用，再就是做閱讀，閱讀中的詞彙其實是很大的，碰到這個詞的概率也就相應變大，碰到一次就鞏固一次，效果就已經很好了，如果多次碰到，就可以達到不忘的目的。再有，你說有長句理解困難的問題，其實英語中語法項目就那麼幾塊，高中語法完畢的話就基本差不多了，所以英語語法並不是很難，很有規律，長句的理解有很大一方面是上下文的理解，如果上下文理解得當會對長句理解幫助很大。如果是語法問題，研究研究語法，我並不主張把大塊精力用在研究語法上，費時費力，而且不是學語言的正途，語法永遠是輔助，不要被考試趨勢所左右，語法題有明確的分數，但是閱讀和作文的比例卻要大的多。其實曾經滄海難為水，隨著你能力的提高這些問題就是過眼雲煙，應手而除，現在苦惱擔心學不好英語沒有必要，因為提高本來就是潛移默化的。
老生常談，解決你所有問題的關鍵就是調整心裡狀態，踏實學習，實干第一，方法第二，多讀多寫，注重鞏固，意識到學英語是長久之計不能速成
