從近幾年我市中學生英語口語大賽實況來看，首先一上台來，外教會跟學生親切的寒暄幾句，以消除學生緊張情緒。外教往往會用語速較慢的英語問學生一些問題，例如：Hi! / Good morning / afternoon! / Can you tell me something ahout yourself / family / school? / What do you usually do in your free time? / Do you like reading? Why? / How do you usually go to school? Why? 等等。回答這類問題時，學生不要緊張，因為都是平時常用的簡單知識。要求學生發音正確，語言連貫流暢，最好加上面部表情或肢體語言。要會使用諸如「Well / Aha / Hmm / Yeah」之類的詞語來填補空檔，語速不要過快。
接下來，外教會用較快的語速對學生進行考核，所問的問題也比較深入全面地考核學生聽、說能力了。如果學生沒有聽懂問題，應該立刻問外教：「I beg your parden.」 但學生精力要集中，不能過多使用詞類句子。外教可能會問學生：I'm a new student in your school. Would you mind showing me around it? / In China, there are lots of bicycles and cars in the street everywhere. Which way do you prefer to take to go to work? Why? / We all know that health is very important to us. Could you give me some advice on how to keep healthy? / Are animals our friends? Can you give me some examples? 這類問題都是圍繞課本所學的內容展開，要求學生能夠用較為流暢的口語進行表達，能對觀點給出自己的判斷，能用實例來支撐自己的觀點。
當然，學生出場後，要注意自己的著裝和舉止，要重視開頭的問候語和結尾的感謝、道別語的使用，這些」細節「也很重要的。

1the topic of leisure time is actually talked a lot around my friends. when i was little i spent all day playing with my neighbours. But it was all simple games, such as paper，，stone. Afterwards i went to school and there was not much time for me to play. but i fell in love with reading and really enjoyed it. i found reading such a magic thing because i could learn lots of things which could not be aquired from school. i prefered to read biography, particularly about chinese celeberties. i had learnt that most famous persons were raised up in a very difficult environment but they all lived with very strong confidence which makes them became doctors, lawyers, actors and politics......etc. i will never forget how meaningful reading affects me. even now im busy with uni, lots of research to do and many assignments to do, im still reading in my leisure time, its like my identical twin, i cant leave it.

2 The word of life could be big or small depending on different experience. For some people life is making money, raising the kids or buying a house or a new car. But for other people life is traveling, passion and taking the adventure. For me life is about my Mom. I grew up in a small city where most men of the families work and women do the house work. When i was a child, my parents divorced and i moved out with my mom to stay with my grandmother. From then on mom has to work outside and meanwhile sends me to school and picks me up after work. Seeing her hands getting tough and her face get off-colour I cried even I was too little. I said to her that I would study hard mom and find a good work so that I can take care of the rest of her life. Sometimes mom is very restricted about my study and sometimes is quite funny. She told me as a man one should be encouraged and faithful, dont let difficult beat you down. The more difficult it is the more I should persist because life goes like that, no one can success without hard work. Now I have grown up Im lucky to study in this university through my hard work and mom's ecation but mom is getting old. She is not telling stories anymore but I wont forget her words and wont let her down. This is my life, my own unique life. Thank you
Watching tv
When it comes to tv i have to be honest that i havent watched for many years. Im not saying i didnt watch even a little bit but seldom. I can remember when i went to primary school i was crazy about the cartoon show. The first thing after schoold was home as soon as possible to catch up with the cartoon show at 5 30. Otherwise it was gonna be news report at six. Afterward mom was restricted about watching tv cause she thought it was one of the reasons interfering my study. By watching tv at that time i imagined myself as one of the gods who could fight the enemies for the whole world. When I grow up I prefered to watching some dramas which amused a lot. And i also learned what the love was and what the friendship and family were. Now its changed a lot. Im still watching tv but not from the tv set but on the internet. The way you watch tv changed but its a good change. People have more options to watch tv. For me I like to watch documentary which can ecate me in various aspects.

這個需要看學歷才能決定的，原則上來講，在教師資格證學歷允許的條件下考最高專比較好，高一屬級的教師資格證可以教低一級的學生，但是低級的不能越級教學，就是說擁有高中教師資格證可以教高中、初中和小學，但是擁有小學教師資格證，只能教小學，不能越級教。
