當他准備修補羊圈的欄桿，順便看看小寶貝羊羔長的怎麼樣時，發現羊跑掉了不少，沒剩幾只了，他看到這番景象，不禁傷心地大哭起來：「我的羊兒呢？哇……哇……」
羊兒不見了，是因為羊圈上欄桿的洞修得太遲了。你一旦發現，就要及時修補，否則羊就一隻一隻地跑走了，你現在修補還不算晚，還能挽救剩下的羊只

我不知道口語比賽要多長。不過下面的故事很有意義。
The Two Seeds
Two seeds lay side by side in the fertile soil.
The first seed said, "I want to grow! I want to send my roots deep into the soil beneath me, and thrust my sprouts through the earth's crust above me ... I want to unfurl my tender buds like banners to announce the arrival of spring ... I want to feel the warmth of the sun on my face and the blessing of the morning dew on my petals!"
And so she grew...
The second seed said, "Hmmmm. If I send my roots into the ground below, I don't know what I will encounter in the dark. If I push my way through the hard soil above me I may damage my delicate sprouts ... what if I let my buds open and a snail tries to eat them? And if I were to open my blossoms, a small child may pull me from the ground. No, it is much better for me to wait until it is safe."
And so she waited...
A yard hen scratching around in the early spring ground for food found the waiting seed and ate it.

A private conversation 私人談話
Last week I went to the theatre. I had a very good seat. The play was very interesting. I did not enjou it. A young man and a young woman were sitting behind me. They were talking loudly. I got very angry. I turned round. I looked at the man and the woman angrily. They did not pay any attention. In the end, I could not hear it. I turned round again. "I can't hear a word!" I said angrily.
"It's none of your budiness," the young man said rudely. "This is a private conversation!"
上星期我去看戲。我的座位很好，戲很有意思，但我卻無法欣賞。一青年男子與一青年女子坐在我的身後大聲說著話。我非常生氣，因為我聽不見演員在說什麼。我回頭去怒視著那一男一女，他們卻毫不理會。最後，我忍不住了，又一次回過頭去，生氣的說：「我一個字也聽不見了！」
「不關你的事，」那男的毫不客氣地說，「這是私人間的談話！」
