我這么和你說吧，我乾妹妹也是剛高一，英語作文也是基本都滿分。她給我看了三篇國慶節寫的作文，她覺得很滿意，但是按照我的標准來改，至少要扣掉她一半的分數，至少，零分我也給過。所以說，不要認為你的英語能滿分就算好了。我叔叔朋友的女兒，小學六年級，在加拿大，作文題目和我們高中的水平不相上下，而且篇幅比我們高中生的長。
你如果真的要好好弄，請去多讀書，多觀察，多思考。光讀書沒有用，光觀察沒有用，光坐在一邊思考，一樣沒有用。讀書能增加你思想的深度，觀察能強化你對自己周圍一切的理解，思考能拓展你對看見的、讀過的東西的理解。
口語的話，念。每天堅持，不必時間太長，半個小時就足夠了。但是要每天念，每天！看好了，每天！一天都不能斷！一天都！不！能！斷！這樣不僅僅能鍛煉好舌頭，也能潛移默化地培養起語感。
英語作為第二語言本身就是劣勢，再加上中國人的看問題思維和西方人看問題的思維模式都是不一樣的。中國人經常就是螺旋式地不斷深入，西方人則是一點然後分支，分支再分支。其實英語作文和中文作文是一個道理的，只是多了一個翻譯的過程。如果你的中文作文都不能寫得思路清晰，邏輯嚴謹，更不用談再換一種思維方式。所以說，語文的作文也很重要。（我比較喜歡說「本質都是一樣的」這樣一句話。
最後推薦你一篇我在現代文學課讀過的一篇比較長的散文， 叫做 The mask of a bear。我反復地讀了六七次，被深深的感動了。

Do you still remember hearing 「The city which will host the 29th Olympic Games is Beijing!」 Do you still remember the moment when we all cheered and waved together? We were excited for Beijing』s chance to host the Olympic Games.
Beijing is one of the oldest cities in the world. It has a history of about 3000 years. It is not only ancient, but also modern and beautiful.
The municipal government of Beijing has prepared for the Olympic Games in all aspects, including competition places, environment, traffic and so on.
The Olympics chose China, the world also chose China.
