A:Did you hear the news about Britney Spears?
B:No,what's she done now?
A:She was caught on camera taking drugs!
B:What?!Are you serious?Have you seen the video?
A:Serious!But no,I haven't seen the video,it hasn't been released.
B:Haha,I see.Mate,I doubt it's true,probably just some hype off the internet right?
A:Well yeah,it's all over the net right now.
B:You can't trust the internet so much.One,people make up stuff just to get people on their sites and two,if no one has even seen the video,how do you know if it even exists?
A:We'll see.I reckon it's only a matter of time before the footage is released.When I get it,I'll let you know.
B:Don't hold your breath!Haha.Even if 'the video' is released,it'll probably be just another hoax.Bet you the quality will be poor and her face will either not be shown or will be blurred and unclear.
A:OK,OK,I got your point.Let's just wait and see.

Todd:OK, Kerri, I'm going to ask you about the news. Do you follow the newseveryday?
Kerri: Sometimes.
Todd:How do you follow the news?
Kerri: Well, in Japan mostlythe radio or the internet.
Todd:Oh, really. OK. What radio station?
Kerri: NPR, but on the militarystation.
Todd:OK. And what internet websites do you listen to?
Kerri: Well, usually it is just APnews or whatever.
Todd:OK. How much of the news do you think is true?
Kerri: I don't know. That's a toughquestion. I think that because there're so many journalists that often whatmakes into the papers is fairly accurate, but unfortunately some people leakinformation that is untrue to sway public opinion, so you have to kind of weedthrough things and consider why that news story is made
public.
Todd:Yeah. How do most people in your country get the news?
Kerri: I think most people in thestates get the news from TV and from the main broadcasting stations. Theevening news sort of thing.

A: Well, they will come again next year. Would you like to go with me?

B: (指A）This person was stupid. He/she stopped suddenly and I cant stop fast enough.
A: I did not! The person in front of me stopped so quick, I tried my best to not to hit that person.
B: But you hit me!
C: Clam down. There is actually a camera here. Let's go to the police station and take a look at the video.
(看完錄像後）
C: So...looks like someone drove too fast (看B).
B: I was in a hurry. I needed to go to a meeting but now I missed it. My boss is going to fire me. And it's all A's fault!
A: We all saw in the video, you were the problem, not me!
C: B, I'm afraid you have to miss the meeting even longer. I would like to have a conversation with you. And you will pay for A's car fix.
B: This is not fair!
A: You need to follow the law.
C: I agree with A. If you don't agree to fix A's car, you can find a lawyer. However, you will likely to lose.
