His older brother fooled with him and these made him felt unhappy. His friend - Rowley went to a club with him. After that, they owe a little money and they should go to work to get this money. But their friendship was getting worse and worse.
My favourite character : Gregory's mother
It is because : She cares with her children and husband very much. She is also full of mother love.
I like this book because: From the story, I can learn something that when we do anything, we should use our effort. In addition, our friendship is more important than anything that we can't use money to buy it.

The author who himself was born in a poor family wrote this novel in his twenties with a view to reveal the ugly masks of those cruel criminals and to expose the horror and violence hidden underneath the narrow and dirty streets in London. The hero of this novel was Oliver Twist, an orphan, who was thrown into a world full of poverty and crime. He suffered enormous pain, such as hunger, thirst, beating and abuse. While reading the tragic experiences of the little Oliver, I was shocked by his sufferings. I felt for the poor boy, but at the same time I detested the evil Fagin and the brutal Bill. To my relief, as was written in all the best stories, the goodness eventually conquered devil and Oliver lived a happy life in the end. One of the plots that attracted me most is that after the theft, little Oliver was allowed to recover in the kind care of Mrs. Maylie and Rose and began a new life. He went for walks with them, or Rose read to him, and he worked hard at his lessons. He felt as if he had left behind forever the world of crime and hardship and poverty. How can such a little boy who had already suffered oppressive affliction remain pure in body and mind? The reason is the nature of goodness. I think it is the most important information implied in the novel by Dickens-he believed that goodness could conquer every difficulty. An adventurous pilot and a lyrical poet, Antoine de Saint-Exupery conveyed in his books the solitude and mystic grandeur of the early days of flight. He described dangerous adventures in the skies and also wrote the whimsical children's fable 'The Little Prince'.Antoine-Marie-Roger de Saint-Exupery was born on June 29, 1900, in Lyon, France. In the 1920s he helped establish airmail routes overseas. During World War II he flew as a military reconnaissance pilot. After the Germans occupied France in 1940, he escaped to the United States. He rejoined the air force in North Africa in 1943. During what was to have been his final reconnaissance mission over the Mediterranean Sea, he died when his plane was shot down on July 31, 1944.
Saint-Exupery's first book, 'Southern Mail', was about the life and death of an airmail pilot. It was published in French in 1929. Other books include 'Night Flight' (1931), about the first airline pilots, and 'Wind, Sand, and Stars' (1939), in which he describes his feelings ring flights over the desert.

本書講述的是高爾基3歲時，父親病故，母親帶他回了娘家。可惜外公是個自私、貪婪而又專橫的小業主，殘酷剝削僱工，放高利貸，但是，資本主義俄國的發展打斷了外公的發財夢，從此破產以至於貧困潦倒。可憐的母親改嫁之後，生病而死，十一歲的作者被外公殘忍地趕出家門，從此還是一個孩子的他，只得在社會上自謀生路……
感想與感受：童年，是每個人自己都值得回憶，值得珍惜的一段短暫而又美好時光。對於我來說，童年是我最珍貴的收藏，然而大師高爾基的童年呢，真可謂「窒息的天地，苦難的童年」，童年應該是他的一段悲慘遭遇，一段深情的回憶！
據我了解，《童年》是高爾基自傳體三部曲：《童年》、《在人間》、《我的大學》中的第一部。它向我們藝術地展示了阿廖沙在黑暗社會追求光明的奮斗歷程。故事生動地再現了19世紀七八十年代俄羅斯下層人民的生活狀況。
讀完了這本書，我的感受頗深。首先，與高爾基的童年相比較之下，我深切地感受到了作者兒時的悲慘遭遇，我覺得自己是幸運的，幸福的！在家裡，父母寵愛著，關心著，保護著。在學校，有老師的教導和同學們的陪伴，真正可以說是無憂無慮。而高爾基呢？與我們恰恰相反。有人說：「環境可以造就一個人，也可以毀滅一個人。」就是這樣的環境造就了高爾基，成就了高爾基。在如此邪惡和污穢的社會中，他那顆光明和博愛的心沒有動搖，沒有被污染，反而變得越加開闊、光明。也許，這就是他成功的秘訣吧！這本書告訴我們要堅強勇敢、正直自信。
步入初中的我回憶起童年是多麼美好的時光啊，讀了高爾基的《童年》後，才知道什麼是童年，什麼是幸福童年，什麼叫做珍惜童年。也許你正在為媽媽沒有帶你去買你想要的東西而抱怨著，可如果你想像一下高爾基的童年，那麼你將會感受到自己的幸福，去主動幫助媽媽工作！這本書告訴我們，要珍惜現在！
高爾基雖然小時候生活在如此惡劣的環境下，但是竟然還能成為一位如此傑出的人，真是了不起！他發表過的文章數也數不清。高爾基從來不放棄可貴的光陰，他在一九二八年至一九三六年寫了一部長篇小說《克里母.薩姆金的一生》，但直到他臨終都沒有完成。這部小說作品再現了俄國社會生活，反映了各個階級和社會集團在不同歷史階段的變化。高爾基於一九三六年六月十八日在哥爾克病逝。讀了《童年》，我深深感受到了當時俄國社會的那種腐敗，當時人民生活的痛苦。相比之下，我們現在的社會是多麼美好！我認為，如果我們在這樣的好環境中浪費時間實在是天大的錯誤。記得魯迅先生曾經說過「時間就是生命」「珍惜時間是成功的秘訣」。我們現在有如此好的環境，是多麼難得呀！所以我們不是更應該去努力嗎？這本書告訴我們，要把握未來！
