2、 回歸基礎，力求做到單元中的閱讀文章過關。
3、 培養正確的閱讀方法：基於學生語法知識很差，我通常建議學生帶著問題找答案。（如果文章比較簡單，就採取限度文章了解大意，再去做題。）其次，要加強學生課外閱讀的訓練，提高學生的閱讀理解能力。
要提高學生的英語閱讀能力，還需要結合學生的具體情況，有計劃地指導他們閱讀一定數量的課外讀物。這樣才能才能積累大量的詞彙，擴大知識面，培養語感，提高閱讀技巧，形成良好的閱讀習慣，從而具備較強的英語閱讀能力。但是在選擇閱讀材料時，要注意形式和內容在難易程度上的搭配，會使學生失去閱讀的興趣的題材。這樣學生才會主動去讀，也才能很好的達到目的。
總之，教師在課堂教學過程中有目的地教授閱讀技巧和學習方法，有利於學生掌握扎實的英語基礎知識與基本的閱讀技巧，也有利於培養學生的自學能力，提高學生的閱讀能力。但除此之外，還需要大量的、廣泛的課外閱讀。要促使學生養成良好的閱讀習慣，培養語感，提高閱讀能力，從而全面提高學生應用英語的能力。
