一、There are many wetlands(濕地) in China and some of them have become the world『s important wetlands. The Chinese Yellow Sea Wetlands are among them. They are in Yancheng, Jiangsu Province. They are home for many different kinds of birds and animals. The world』 largest Milu Deer Nature Reserve(自然保護區) is in them. More than 700 milu deer live freely there. There are not many red-crowned cranes in the world, but every winter you can see some in the Red-crowned Cranes Nature Reserve in the Yellow Sea Wetlands.

The temperature in the wetlands is usually neither too high nor too low. There is a lot of rain and sunshine, too. They are really good places for wildlife(野生生物)。 Offering food and home for some special kinds of animals and birds is not the only reason why we need to protect wetlands. Wetlands are important because they also prevent flood. But some people want to change the wetlands to make more space for farms and buildings. This means there will be less and less space for wildlife.

Do you know how to play a game called 「Musical Chairs」? It is easy to play and most people enjoy it. All you need are some chairs, some people and some way of making music. You may use a piano or any other musical instrument, if someone can play it. You may use a tape recorder. You can even use a radio.
Put the chairs in a row. The chairs may be put in twos, back to back. A better way is to have the chairs in one row with each chair facing in the opposite direction to the chair next to it.
The game is easy. When the music starts, the players walk round the chairs. Everyone goes in the same direction, of course, they should walk in time to the music. If the music is fast they should walk quickly. If the music is slow, they should walk slowly.
The person playing music cannot see the people in the game. When the music stops, the players try to sit on the chairs. If a person cannot find a chair to sit on, he drops out. Then, before the music starts again, one chair must be taken away. When the music stops again, one more player will be out.
At last, there will be two players and one chair. The one who sits on the chair when the music stops is the winner.

A. The game 「Musical Chairs」 is not difficult to learn.
B. The last one can sit on the last chair.
C. The winner can sit on the chair.
D. If the person plays music,he cannot be the winner.
1. 選A. If a person cannot find a chair to sit on, he drops out.
3. 選D. Put the chairs in a row就是「把椅子排成一排」這意。選D.
When the music starts, the players walk round the chairs.
It is easy to play 可知道A項正確;由最後一句The one who sits on the chair when the music stops is the winner. The person playing music cannot see the people in the game可知D項也是正確的。

The reporter turned to the third man. 「Do you think so?」
「No, I don『t,」 he said. 「I don』t think that makes the visitor important. That makes the President important.」

Do you think you will have your own robot?
What can you see in the videos and pictures?
What do these robots look like?
What can they do?
Do you remember what you were doing?
Maybe you should learn to relax! Pushy parents are nothing new, but now parents seem to push their children a lot more.pushy這個單詞在文中的意思不是很容易理解,但是當把整個文章閱讀完就會了解到英美國的學生沒有什麼自己的時間可以放鬆,那麼就可以理解這個詞的意思。

We know mosquitoes very well. Mosquitoes fly everywhere. They can be found almost all over the world, and there are more than 2,500 kinds of them.
No one likes the mosquito. But the mosquito may decide if she loves you. She? Yes, she. The male mosquito doesn』t bite! Only the female mosquito bites because she needs blood to lay eggs. She is always looking for things or people she wants to bite. If she likes what she finds, she bites. But if she doesn』t like your blood, she will turn to someone else for more delicious blood. Next time a mosquito bites you, just remember you are chosen. You』re different from the others!
If the mosquito likes you, she lands on your body without letting you know. She bites you so quickly and quietly that you may not feel anything different. After she bites, you will have an itch(癢) on your body because she puts something from her mouth together with your blood. When the itch begins, she has flown away.
And then what happens? Well, after her delicious dinner, the mosquito feels tired. She wants to find a place to have a good rest. There, in a tree or on a wall, she begins to lay eggs, hundreds of eggs.

Do you know why different animals or pests(昆蟲) have their special colours? Colours in them seem to be used mainly to protect themselves.
Some birds like eating locusts(蝗蟲), but birds cannot easily catch them. Why? It is because locusts change their colours together with the change of the colours of crops(莊稼). When crops are green, locusts look green. But as the harvest (收獲)time comes, locusts change to the same brown colour as crops have. Some other pests with different colours from plants are easily found and eaten by others. So they have to hide themselves for lives and appear only at night.
If you study the animal life, you』ll find the main use of colouring is to protect themselves. Bears, lions and other animals move quietly through forests. They cannot be easily seen by hunters. This is because they have the colours much like the trees.
Have you ever found an even more strange act? A kind of fish in the sea can send out a kind of very black liquid(液體) when it faces danger. While the liquid spreads over(散開), its enemies(敵人) cannot find it. And it immediately swims away. So it has lived up to now though it is not strong at all.
