閱讀理解需要一定單詞的儲備，反之，通過閱讀確實是可以提高閱讀理解的途徑之一，而且也是最有效的途徑之一。
閱讀理解分精讀和泛讀，你要有所側重。
以我的經驗說說看：
1. 如果是精讀，每天一篇足夠了，如果是泛讀，越多越好，當然是量力為之啦。精讀講究嚴格到每個詞和每個語言點的理解和掌握，因此，花費時間長，而泛讀的主要目的是為了培養語感，用一目十行來形容泛讀比較恰當的，要求是閱讀的快速和理解，但不要求精確到每個詞，每個語法點。
2. 無論是精讀還是泛讀，都是自己做完了，再核對答案，這樣做的好處是有的放矢，帶著問題來看答案，而不是預先看答案，再做，那樣就沒有意義啦。
3. 差字典也是如此，如果一個長句中，有個別詞看不懂，要盡量通過上下文來串一下，看能不能讀通，如果實在卡住再查字典，這樣印象比較深，不要遇到一個生詞就馬上查字典。
4. 閱讀教材非常多，內容也各異，最開始的時候還是找精讀或者泛讀的範文文本來讀， 比如： 大學精讀和泛讀教材就非常好，裡面的文章都是選擇英美文章或者報刊雜志，語言比較規范，嚴謹。
達到一定程度後，可以看英美文學著作範本，這種範本分兩種，一種是經過簡寫的文本，另一種是原文的文本， 要根據你自己的實際情況來選擇，最開始的時候，還是選擇簡寫本，然後，再看原文的。
簡寫本與原文文本的差別主要在語法上，詞彙不會有很大的變化（僅有極個別的編輯才會修改），編輯的人為了忠實原文，一般是不會修改詞句的，因為作者的詞句是作者自己的行文風格，因此，不會修改的。 那麼，重點就在語法上，閱讀原文，無論是對於提高詞彙還是語法具有非常大的好處！
比如，我在閱讀《羊脂球》這本書的時候，就曾經對比過簡寫本和原文，其中有句話印象比較深刻，簡寫本里有句話：「you are the best knight on this pice of land".
但是原文是：「you are far more splendid knihgt who performs talent and encouragement
on this piece of land".
你看！ 在表達方式上差異非常之大！哦呵呵
