年份
關於四位數年份的讀法有下列幾種情形：
1）一般情況下，將表示年份的版四個數字按前後分為兩組，權每一組的數字都按基數詞來讀。例如：
1865年讀作eighteensixty-five
1998年讀作nineteenninety-eight
2）如果前兩個數字為非「零」數字，後兩位數分別為「零」，則先讀出前兩位數，然後將後面的兩個「零」讀為hundred。例如：
1900年讀作nineteenhundred
1800年讀作eighteenhundred
3）第三個數字為「零」（其他數字不是「零」）的年份的讀法應當將該「零」讀為o〔u〕。例如：
