做好英語閱讀理解，要從以下幾個方面著手。
第一，要統覽全篇、摘錄重點。在統版覽全篇的同時要注意權要點的摘錄，因為一些顯性的答案是可以從某段的要點中直接回答，而隱性的答案則是要通過對全篇的理解才能得出。
第二，猜測詞意，可根據上下文聯系或根據構詞法來推測。
第三，根據邏輯推理理解短文，邏輯推理實際上就是文章的弦外之音。
第四，理解長句。長句是我比較薄弱的地方，在我進入卓越教育學習之前，我一直都不知道英語句子有五大基本結構，還是經過學習班上老師的指導，才明白長句中通常包含並列、復合、倒裝等結構，並且在做題時對於這類句子要分清主次，先找出句子的主、謂、賓、定、狀、補，再找出修飾它的從句或短語等。
