would rather…than… 表 「寧願……而不願」, 與prefer…to…同義,但它們在結構上
不同.前者是 would rather do sth. than do sth., 後者是 prefer doing sth. to doing sth.
eg: I would rather stay at home than go out. = I prefer staying at home to going out.
我寧願呆在家中而不願出去.

alive 表 「活著的」, 常修飾人,而不修飾物. 一般作表語或賓補.
living 同義, 既可修飾人, 也可修飾物. 在句中既可作定語也可作表語.

1. paint 與draw 都具有 「繪畫」的含義,但有很大區別
paint 表示用顏料等畫帶有色彩的畫, 如油畫、水彩畫及畫正式的肖像畫。
draw 表用蠟筆、鉛筆、鋼筆等各種筆畫，並且通常畫得比較簡單。
eg: He is drawing a horse on the blackboard. 他正在黑板上畫一匹馬。
The artist painted in water colors. 那個畫家用水彩作畫。
2. I want to know if it is difficult to be an artist. 我想知道成為藝術家是否很難。
If you work hard at painting, it won』t be difficult for to succeed.

前句中的if表 「是否」，引導賓語從句；
後句中的if表 「如果」，引導條件狀語從句。

get stuck 是系表結構, stuck是過去分詞作表語, 表被動.
