對於英語四級想速成的，我給你幾點建議，因為我們寢室有四個人都是高考英語70~80的，我輔導他們過了四級，兩個人一次過，另外兩個人兩次過的，分數全在450以上，所以你首先是要有信心：
1、星火有本詞典，是按什麼零差距、相對差距、絕對差距分類的那種，我忘了名字了，你去書店看一下，那種最適合底子差的人看，因為他是漸進的，你會比較容易接受；
2、別買那麼多輔導書，關鍵是要吃透，所以我只建議你買單詞書和四級真題試卷， 多了不僅你自己消化起來累，而且以你的底子也不可能在短時間內完全吃透；
3、無論如何也要把零差距和相對差距部分的單詞背完，絕對差距看你自己的毅力了，不背的話也不會影響你過四級，相信我。 另外，在你背完字典後，每套真題上出現的你不熟悉的單詞（除了快速閱讀部分），你全部要記下來然後背掉，考前把星火真題里的高頻詞彙背掉，你的單詞就不會有問題了；
4、星火真題里還有各種題型的解題技巧，你可以仔細研究，聽好用的，如果你可以給我郵箱，我可以把新東方老師給我的內部資料發給你，希望可以幫到你。
最後要提醒你的是，以你的底子，你的聽了一定很差，所以你要多花時間聽真題和模擬題，考前一個星期聽VOA快速英語，這樣你會在四級考場上突然覺得聽力語速變慢了，會比較好接受。但你要記住，聽真題和模擬題上的聽力時，重點是你要靜聽，寧可少聽一套試卷，也要保證聽的那套是完全聽懂每一個單詞的。

In Another World
Here I am, in China, half way around the world from home. As I look at my clock and calculate（計算） the time back home I realize that half a world away, people are busy getting ready for a wedding. The bride is my niece（侄女）, a person I first met when she was three days old.
I think back to the first time I had the opportunity to become acquainted with（開始了解；知道 熟悉） my niece. The couple had an engagement party when I was at home in Canada a few months ago. The party was in the form of a picnic in a beautiful rose garden.
