“我认为学习成绩不一定非要数一数二不可，而是(每个人)要找到属于自己的学习特长，发挥利用，而其余课程只要保证前五名即可。”一张口先撇开话题的主题———作文不谈，反而谈论起自己对学生学习成绩的认识问题。
一番“高谈阔论”后，她才回归到作文这个话题上。“作文在我看来，最看重的莫过于感情了。无论你(文章)的辞藻有多么华丽，没有真情实感，只是一个空架子。”
结合自己的写作经验，周嘉会认为，写作文除了多阅读课外书之外，还应该注重在阅读过程中的“消化与吸收”。“我们读的时候，应该在享受优美文章文字和精彩情节所带给我们的愉悦之余，更要注重去领悟文章作者所表达的感情与思想以及表达这些内容时所应用的手段和方式。”
文章如何表现“自我主义”
“在作文这个领域里，每个写作者都是‘自我主义者’。”周嘉会说，“即使你拜读的是大家之作，你自己也不能完全依附于他们的思想，因为，文章不应该失去‘自我’，相反更应该表现出作者的‘自我主义’。当然，这并不意味着你不能进行借鉴。”
周嘉会表示，她所谓的“自我主义”是指从自我出发，不脱离自我、尽情地抒发自我情感、叙述自我经历、描绘自我内心，或者在写人叙事绘景议论中融化自我的感受和体验。“这种‘自我’是完全不同于某些写作中的矫揉造作无病呻吟等虚假的自我表现。”周嘉会说她觉得这样的作文既能写得真实贴切，又能写得生动感人。因为，在这样的作文中，现实的社会生活都通过作者的情感过滤与思想折射后，再写到作文中来，写出来的作文自然就具有了写作者自己的情感的温度和思想烙印。“可通过写日记、信件等方式进行有意识的‘自我’训练。”
写作的“老”技巧———新
关于作文的写法，周嘉会强调了一个技巧———新。“虽然这个理论并不新，但它是写作文的一个大技巧，是很重要的。当然，这里的新是指对作文题目、题材进行奇思妙想，而并非胡思乱想。不否认创作需要灵感，这必然是需要写作者多观察生活，因为，写作的基础是生活。所以，建议对普通小事从不同角度去看，相信会发现很多好的题材的。”
“最后不得不说的一点，作文若是没有蕴含的哲理，那么就只能叫写话。”周嘉会建议同学们写文章还得写得有深度、有厚重的美感，否则充其量就是说白话，谈不到文章二字了。

My sister was the foreign school’ student so that always there is a lot of foreigners go to my home with my sister. That day, the sun was bright, the wind was wild and the birds were singing. We walked to the seaside. The sea is so calm that I felt my heart was quite clear. Among us, there was a man named Peter who loved taking pictures most. Then I asked him why he took so many pictures, he told me that he would mail the pictures to his girl friend who was staying in America. I told him if his girl friend was so excited to see the beautiful scenery that she would appear in her dream to tell Peter that “Once there was a chance to go with you to China in front of me, but I missed it.
