相较于初中生而言,高中生已经积累一定的词汇量,对于新词汇和新短语的学习不再那么抵触。但是由于教师采用单一枯燥的单词教学模式,导致课堂教学氛围沉闷、教学效率低下,学生对词汇的学习没有兴趣而言。很多高中生对于词汇的学习方法大多依赖“死记硬背”,这种学习方法具有速度慢、记忆效率低下等劣势,学生上课注意力不集中,导致学习成果不够显著。教师要创造一种和谐、开放、多样、高效的词汇教学模式,就需要打破传统教学模式,树立创新教学模式,从而达到激发学生学习兴趣和提高课堂教学质量的目的。
一、创设具体的情境
在英语口语交流过程中,学生都是通过句子表达思想,而单词是句子的关键要素。因此,学生学习英语单词的目的不是单纯地记住它或者拼写它,而是要学会运用它。教师需要打破传统的词汇教学方法,运用创新教学理念创设教学情境,达到激发学生学习兴趣和提高教学效率的目的。
目前,大部分英语教师仍然采用传统教学模式,从头到尾都是自己一个人在讲解,学生的主要工作就是记录和倾听,从而导致课堂教学氛围沉闷、呆板,学生对教师所讲内容毫无兴趣可言,这与新课标理念完全不吻合。基于这种情况,教师要改变传统的教学模式,树立创新教学意识,创设教学情境,达到激发学生学习兴趣和提高英语学习效率的目的。所谓情境教学,是指教师在实际教学中借助多媒体技术或者一个故事情节等形式,让学生围绕教学内容而展开话题讨论。
首先,布置以词汇为中心的准备任务。Daily
report内容和体裁形式不限,学生可以在计算机上收集相关实时新闻、故事或者学生感兴趣的书评等,也可以对自己感兴趣的话题展开联想编写一个小故事。不强求学生将自己准备的内容全部背诵,可以看着稿子念出来,但是可以在脑海中记忆和背诵更好,以积累写作素材。例如,某位学生这样描述昨天听的演唱会:
