而我呢？現在霸佔著科學成績倒數的寶座，盡管做了比別人多一倍的試題卻仍然倒數，我羨慕我的室友，要是我也和她一樣就好了。我也想擺脫倒數，一躍成為第一。
在《格言》上看到一篇文章：明知前行只有毀滅，也要抗爭到底。寫的是日本一漫畫家屢次投稿被拒，想學相撲又被拒，卻靠著不服輸的勇氣，最終獲得了成功。他說過這么一句話：他從未相信過自己會一直處於逆境，所以才有信心不放棄。這是一個俗套得不能再俗套的故事。我是真不理解他有什麼理由相信自己會逃離逆境。
在投出第十一個實心球的時候，我已經快崩潰了，四分。不管怎麼練習也投得不遠。我把球扔在地上。「你扔吧，我不扔了。」我告知搭檔，「反正橫豎也扔不好了。」我盯著10分的線，那道白線亮得刺眼。
我索性躺倒在操場上，一群鴿子繞著屋頂飛來飛去。挺好的隊型，卻有一隻老也對不齊，總是沒辦法與同伴飛成一條平行線，要麼飛太快，要麼飛太慢。看見那隻鴿子拚命拍打著翅膀，卻還是無法與同伴對齊。
它也陷入了糾結焦慮的逆境？

「老師，我扔不好。」我站起來。
「眼光要放遠一點，別老盯著滿分的白線，動作放開一點。」老師把我拉過去，擺正我的姿勢。「別老想著一下扔滿分。」她推動我的肩，「扔！」球落在及格線上。「你看吧，要相信自己，會一點點好起來的。」老師告訴我。我為自己的進步也有一點小開心，雖然不像其他人一樣能扔得很遠。我感覺自己也是可以獲得進步的，心情不至於像之前那麼郁悶煩躁了，像是霧霾的天空透出了一縷陽光。
會一點一點好起來的。我開始有點理解那個日本漫畫家的話了。不可能一直處於逆境，但也不可能瞬間就擺脫逆境。
