Unit 1 英語文章結構特點
我們知道,一篇文章(這里指闡釋性文章,如說明文和議論文)由三個要素組成:內容、結構和語言。內容是作者要表達的思想,如一段生活經歷或對某個問題的看法。語言是思想的載體,作者通過語言使思想得以傳達。而結構則是對思想表達順序的安排,即先說什麼,後說什麼。也就是文章結構的開頭、中間和結尾。
本單元從文章的第二個要素入手,著重討論英語文章的宏觀結構,即寫作說明文或議論文的開頭、中間和結尾。首先我們要對學生習作的體裁進行判斷,即是說明文還是議論文,然後在與寫作規則或慣例的比較中找出習作中的優缺點,指出文章結構的基本原則,使學生明了英語文章結構的特點。最後,對英美作家的範文進行分析。本單元主要回答以下問題:
1.英語文章的結構是由哪些部分組成的? 2.英語文章結構的每一個部分有那些功能? 3.什麼是說明文和議論文?

設計高二年級教學目標
根據大部分學生在高中階段學習的主要目標是升學這一原則,高二仍然以培養學生聽說讀寫各項技能的發展為出發點,來展開日常教學,但有所側重。
高二階段,主要是選修課,所以,教師要對選修的內容規劃好,設計好,真正做好學生學習的扶手,起到學生學習的指導者的作用,使教材和教學內容具有靈活性、開放性和拓展性,以便學生更好的發揮潛能,發展個性,在培養學生的語言知識、語言技能、情感態度、學習策略和文化意識等素養的基礎上,發展學生綜合運用語言的能力,為以後走向社會或升學打好基礎,同時,優化學生的學習方法,使他們在高二階段,能通過觀察、體驗、探究等主動學習的方法,充分發揮自己的學習潛能,形成有效的學習策略,提高自主學習的能力和自學能力。
1. 詞彙教學
1) 對高二選修課課本中每單元的詞彙,要有所取捨。根據詞彙的使用頻率,指導學生,那些是必會必記(寫作和日常交流中常用到的)的、那些是理解性的幫助學生閱讀的詞彙,那些是可以舍棄不管的詞彙,使學生在學習詞彙時,分清主次。
比如:模塊六,必會詞約160餘個,固定搭配和習慣用語30多條。
2) 繼續培養學生在閱讀過程中,根據上下文猜詞意的能力;
3) 繼續培養學生善於運用工具書,自己學習詞彙的能力;
4) 在教學過程中,引導學生改變死記硬背的方法,培養學生
5) 對常用詞彙及短語,通過練習來反復訓練以達到掌握、運用,擴大詞彙量。
2. 語法教學
高二選修課中,新的語法項目不多,主要復習必修模塊的語法。在淡化語法的前提下,適當講一些語法內容,也是必要的,這符合中國學生循序漸進的認知規律,能更有效的幫助學生准確的理解和掌握英語, 但語法教學本身不是目的,而是為了學生掌握和運用語言服務的,因此,不把語法搞成滿堂灌,其最好的方法是在「用」中學。
1) 精選練習,分類或集中練習一些語法項目,在練中學,學中練,從具體實踐中, 掌握語法的運用規律。教師指導學生自我總結語法的要點和具體運用方法。學生在實踐中悟出的東西,印象深,記憶牢。
2) 教師設計一些情景來訓練語法,讓一些語法在一定的情景中出現,讓學生自然不自然的加以學習運用,起到潛移默化的作用。
3) 注意在寫作訓練中學習和運用語法,這是最關鍵的一步。
3. 培養閱讀能力
讀,是一種最為便捷的語言信息輸入的方式,素質教育下,語言學習的根本目的之一,就是讓學生學會如何閱讀,它包括:默讀,復述,背誦等方式;快速瀏覽、細讀等具體操作過程。
1) 讓學生帶著問題去閱讀。這要求教師提前設計好諸多合理的能幫助學生理解文章的問題,也可以讓學生自己設計一些問題。
2) 培養學生快速閱讀的能力,以抓住要點,獲取主要信息。
3) 培養學生細讀、注意語言細節的能力。細讀,可以抓住文章的細節和內涵,學會分析作者的觀點、態度、意圖,以更好的去欣賞文章。細讀時,出課前預習外,鼓勵學生根據上下文來猜測生詞的意思,還要鼓勵學生在課上大膽的提出問題,以便教師更有針對性地去進行教學,尤其是共性的問題。對文章的內容,可以啟發學生思考,師生一起討論,鼓勵學生有不同見解。找出文章中的難句和新穎的句子等。教師指導學生,對文章的語言問題只做簡單的處理,達到理解的目的即可。
4) 閱讀技能的培養。這是重點的部分,如:引導學生,在掌握課文主要內容和具體信息的前提下,學會分析段落大意,找出文章中的關鍵詞和主題句,弄清文章的邏輯順序、寫作方法,理解作者的意圖和態度、識別文章隱含的意思,等。
每閱讀一篇文章後,組織學生展開不同形式的口筆頭任務活動,圍繞課文的話題,結合自己的經驗,展開討論,發表不同的見解(甚至是批判性的觀點)、摘記要點、歸納總結等等,以全方位提高學生的綜合能力。
4. 寫的技能。
這是四項技能中難度最大的,也是最能看出學生綜合運用語言的能力的。寫,是運用語言傳遞書面信息的手段,既要動手,還要動腦,要求語言文字精確(包括書法、拼法、語法都要正確);要求文字通順、結構嚴謹、格式正確、文體何時,要求學生逐漸培養具有較強的思維能力和表達能力。教師在指導學生練習寫作時,務必讓學生明確:要寫出動人的文章,一定得有較好的語言基本功、邏輯思維和創造思維,還要有豐富的想像力、正確的立意。高二階段,寫作要按句子、段落和篇章三個層次來練習。
第一種,是基礎性的練習,學生自由選擇語言的餘地小,主要分布在Learning about language和練習冊中的詞彙、語法練習中。
第二種,是有指導的程序寫作,主要在Using language 和練習冊中的Writing task部分,這里的寫常與聽、讀、說緊密結合,並指明了寫作的步驟和方法。
第三種,是功能性寫作或自由寫作,主要在Project中,教師也可以根據學生所熟悉的話題或人物事件等,自己選材寫作。這些都可以幫助學生由易到難、由簡到繁,一步步提高其寫的能力。
此外,漢譯英練習,也可以作為寫作的一種有效地學習和訓練手段,適當的做一些翻譯練習,也可以加深對英語的准確理解,也可以為學生今後的工作或繼續學習打下基礎。
5. 聽的技能培養
聽也是達到足夠語言輸入量的手段。高二階段,承上(高一)啟下(高三),在聽的能力訓練上,還要做好如下過程:
1) 課堂教師用語和教學用語;
2) 口語錄音帶;
3) 聽寫;
4) 聽(Listening)和聽的任務(listening task)
5) 校內外錄音泛聽、英語視頻、廣播、電視等。
教師要設計好聽的步驟,如:
a.聽前介紹語境,甚至把聽的材料或材料中的生詞給學生,也可以利用插圖等,來幫助學生對聽的內容的理解
b.提出任務,讓學生帶著任務去聽
c.多放幾遍錄音,尤其是難以理解的地方
d.聽的過程中,可以討論一些涉及的問題
e.邊聽邊回答問題
f.聽後彼此檢查答案,或討論答案
g.調查學生聽得難點或障礙,以便教師研究對策,提高聽的效果。
教師要向學生說明:聽時,沒有必要聽懂每一個詞,要注意抓住聽力材料的主要信息,即: 誰、何時、何地、如何、干什麼、結果如何、效率影
