二、掌握五種基本句型。英語語法和句型是骨架，單詞和短語是血肉，是基礎。教師在引導學生學習單詞、短語和句型中，學寫簡單句，讓學生潛移默化地熟練掌握五種基本句型：1、S+V（主語+不及物動詞）2、S+V+O（主語+及物動詞+賓語）3、S+V+P（主語+系動詞+表語）4、S+V+IO+DO（主語+及物動詞+間接賓語+直接賓語）5、S+V+O+C（主語+及物動詞+賓語+賓語補足語），在平時的教學中，注重對學生簡單句的訓練，進行單句漢譯英的訓練，讓學生熟練掌握五種基本的簡單句。實際上，英語寫作很大程度上就是漢譯英的訓練，因此，只有具備了一般句子的漢譯英能力，再結合題目所給的漢語提示和英語信息，用恰當的有用的英語句型進行整合，才能寫出意思連貫的通順的英語文章。
三、對學生進行聽說訓練，培養聽說能力，激發書面表達興趣，英語教學中的聽說讀寫四種技能是相互聯系、相輔相成的，因此對這些技能的練習也不能孤立地進行。聽是接受，說是表達。聽和說的關系密切，二者相輔相承。聽是說的基礎和前提，說又對聽起著消化和促進作用，在實際教學中，我採用了以下方法：1、堅持課前5分鍾自由交際，每天課前讓學生與老師，或學生與學生用英語進行自由交際，主要形式有師生問答、值日生報告、講英語故事，內容可以是剛學過的書本知識，也可以是真人真事，句子可長可短，課下每個學生都要整理記錄自己自由交際的內容，這樣的形式既練聽又練說，同時也能激發學生的寫作興趣，提高英語表達能力。2、造句練習。從初一開始，每天叫學生進行造句訓練。例如：at
home――I am at home this evening. On Sunday――He does his homework on
Sunday.
3、對話練習，每學一個類型的對話，都叫學生進行自編自演的對話練習。例如：問路對話、看病對話、談論假期等。4、復述課文練習。每學完一篇課文，要求學生根據關鍵詞進行復述課文練習。5.堅持聽寫，促進寫作，寫作是一種能力，是一種運用學過的英語知識和掌握技能進行思想交流的能力。所以，堅持每節課都有一定量單詞的聽寫，並且全批全改。
四、多背多記，達到事半功倍的目的。俗話說得好：「熟讀唐詩三百首，不會作詩也會吟」。所以，背誦在學生的寫作能力培養的過程中，具有著不可低估的作用。在日常的英語學習中，教師可以鼓勵學生多背一些好文章、好句子、短語、諺語、俗語，這樣，在學生寫作文時就可以游刃有餘了，久而久之，學生就可以比較輕松地寫出好的文章了。
五、及時批改，進行反饋。學習再認真的學生也難免出現錯誤，一旦他們的文章中有錯誤時，老師一定以尊重學生的自尊心為前提，採用合適、有效的方法幫助他們改正。學生交上來的作文，老師要認真進行批改，除了要圈出學生的單詞錯誤和句子語法運用上的錯誤，還應該給學生一些恰如其分的評價語，或表揚或鼓勵或點撥或建議，讓學生從心裡感受到老師對他的勞動成果的尊重與重視，激發他更多的潛能，增強他寫作的信心。有時，針對一些相對薄弱的學生，我們還可以採取面批的形式，及時地糾正學生在寫作中出現的錯誤，在糾錯時，語氣要平和、緩慢，不要造成學生的心理壓力，使學生保持堅持寫英語作文的勇氣和信心。另外，在批改作文時，老師還應該及時記錄並歸納學生作文中反映出的典型問題，為講評課做好准備，在講評作文時，教師要以表揚為主，挑出一些錯誤較少的，優秀的作文，在全班進行閱讀，讓學生取長補短，不斷提高自己的寫作水平。
總而言之，英語寫作是一個長期積累的過程，要想提高寫作能力，學生平時要加強閱讀，積累一定量的詞彙、句型、段落和短文，只有多讀、多背，才能出口成章，下筆成文。同時，還要了解英文寫作的基礎知識，掌握常用文體的寫作方法，不斷提高學生的英語寫作能力。另外，老師還要細心觀察、耐心引導、適當鼓勵學生，千方百計讓學生保持濃厚的學習英語的興趣，使他們體會到學習英語的樂趣，漸漸培養運用英語寫作的能力。
