第一，要從詞的方面考慮。選詞時要選詞正確，兼顧得體。選詞正確就是要區分同義詞，掌握一些習語及固定搭配，熟練英語各類詞的基本法，能夠正確使用可數名詞與不可數名詞、形容詞和副詞，在動詞上，應注意及物動詞和不及物動詞、瞬間動詞和延續動詞的用法。以區分同義詞為例：（Nearly\Almost）no one believed her．此題應選Almost。Nearly和Almost都是副詞，意義相近，沒有太大的差別，但搭配上almost可以和no,none,nothing等否定詞連用，nearly 卻不能。要正確理解，區分和使用英語同義詞，就得靠平時的閱讀訓練和經常有意識的寫作練習，同時要經常藉助詞典的幫助。
第二，從句子方面考慮。有時兩個或更多的句子，如果思想內容上關系很密切，我們可以把它們連成一個句子。通過聯句的方法，使文章意義更加連貫，結構更加緊湊，語言更加生動。掌握好聯句的方法，對提高英語寫作能力有很大的幫助。美國邁阿密大學曾對三百名新生進行過一次寫作測驗，讓一半學生按傳統方法即語法法學習寫作，另一半按新方法即聯句法去寫，經過15周的訓練，結果運用新方法學習寫作的學生要比傳統訓練的學生強，總的作文水平高於後者。
第三，從段落方面考慮。要體現文章的連貫，可以用關聯詞或句子，可以用代詞代替前一句的一個詞，但更多的時候是通過發展段落的方法。
1．按時間的先後順序發展段落。敘述性或歷史性文段寫作，通常按時間先後順序來寫常用到下列關聯詞：after,first,when,later,finally,eventually等等。
2．按空間順序發展段落。按空間順序發展段落就是要把一段中的中心信息按空間關系安排，主要用於描寫人的外貌、一個活動場面或一個地方各個部分的布局。寫作是可以採用多種方法，只要把空間關系交代清楚即可。
3．用分類的方法發展段落。用分類的方法發展段落是根據某種原則把要描述的人或事分成若干類。要注意用同一種方法分出的各類之間不應該發生重疊。進行分類的段落結構通常是主題句---支撐句---結尾句。結尾句用來進行總結、評論、重復等。
4．用分析方法發展段落。使用這一方法主要是為了分析某行動、事件、情況或現象的原因、闡明因果關系。其基本形式有四種：一是以陳述結果開始，然後分析導致這一結果的原因，最後寫一結尾句；二是以陳述原因開始，然後講述這一原因導致什麼結果，最後寫一結尾句。三是分析原因再分析結果，或先分析結果再分析原因。四是因果交替出現在段落里。
5．用歸納法分析段落。歸納法與前八種方法不同，它要求先出現支撐句，然後出現結尾句兼主題句，即由分說到總說或由具體到一般，漸漸接近主題句。

1、准確

要使你的英語寫作文章語義表達准確，首先要盡量不要在學術文章中出現＂大概、也許＂之類模稜兩可地詞語，避免出現容易讓人困惑和誤解地詞語和表達法；其次，要盡量避免使用那些有多種含義地詞語和表達法。

例如，在寫作一個段落時，常常將概括段落主要內容地主題句（topicsentence）作為段落地首句，以便讓讀者迅速明確本段要講述地內容。另外，寫作時盡量將每個句子寫得簡短一些，少用或不用冗長地復合句。切記：短小精練地句子表達地意思才強而有力。

In a report published today, Oxfam, Greenpeace, Christian Aid, Friends of the Earth, WWF(英國牛津救濟委員會、「綠色和平」組織、基督徒互援會、「地球之友」組織、世界野生動物基金組織) and 15 other groups say rich governments must immediately address(致力於) climate change to avoid even "obscene levels(無法忍受的程度)" of worldwide poverty.
