這幾年當地的果子品質下降了，加上市場疲軟，每年五畝果園的收入不及過去的五分之一，我們常勸父親要麼換成別的果樹，要麼就把果樹挖了，種點糧食，全是機械化耕作，人也輕松。可是父親堅決不同意，理由是他和這些果樹有了感情，再說果園里除了蘋果樹外，還有許多別的果樹，從每年的5月中旬開始，果園里就有成熟的果子供我們食用，草莓、杏、桃、葡萄、梨、棗、石榴、柿子……凡是北方有的水果在我們五畝果園里都可以看到、吃到，而且有些水果還分早熟和晚熟，這些水果成熟後要麼送給我們，要麼送給村鄰、親戚。父親基本上給這些特殊的水果樹不施化肥，他說化肥會影響甜度和品質，所以他就用雜草等漚肥……
