說明文是一種以說明為主要表達方式的文章體裁 。它通過對實體事物科學地解說，對客觀事物做出說明或對抽象事理的闡釋，使人們對事物的形態、構造、性質、種類、成因、功能、關系或對事理的概念、特點、來源、演變、異同等能有科學的認識，從而獲得有關的知識。

3、結合性原則。要堅持聽說讀訓練和寫訓練相結合。根據語言習得理論，學習者在學習時常先通過聽和讀吸取語言知識，從而了解別人的思想，再通過說和寫來表達自己的思想。
