When it comes to a course that leaves the deepest impression in university, different people stand on different grounds. As for me, the most impressive course in college is 「Appreciation of English Movies」, which I like best. I prefer this curriculum to others owing to the following factors.
On one hand, the professor in charge of this course has impressed me most because she is not only knowledgeable but also patient. More importantly, it is this respectable teacher who spurs my interest to English harder and broadens my horizon as well. Until now, what she said in the class often occurs to my mind. 大學教育對我的意義
大家早上好。今天我演講的題目是「大學教育對我的意義」。
對我來說，大學教育猶如一位技藝精湛的造船師。首先，具有遠見卓識的大學教育為我裝配了一隻馬力強勁的推進器；專業知識及廣博的課外知識給我帶來無限動力。白天我全神貫注地研習自己的課程，晚上則盡情享受世界文學，在此過程中，我既為未來積聚了力量，又充實了自己的靈魂。

8. 大學應用寫作課的意義和規律
反映學生寫作時往往從網上下載，然後稍加改動而成，結果常常出現雷同現象，特別是畢業論文，內容、觀點相差無幾，署名卻不同的竟有好幾篇。
文科的以及在學校期間參加一些社團的同學回答都比較重視或喜歡應用寫作課，但45%的同學是因為工作需要；45%的同學是因開設了此課不得不學，只是為了應付考試；只有10%的同學回答比較喜歡。
無論是重視還是喜歡應用寫作課的同學，應該說這些同學都有明確的學習目的，都是從未來工作的需要的角度出發。而那種迫不得已，不得不學者的情況，一方面說明這些同學學習目的不夠明確，另一方面說明應用寫作課的質量也有待於提高、教學方法也有待於改進。
二、關於大學生學習與掌握應用文的調查情況分析
上述種種情況說明大學生學習、掌握應用文的情況如此糟糕，這不能不說是應用寫作教育的一種悲哀，實在應該引起教育界、學術界認真地思考一下了。究其原因我們認為有以下幾個方面：
（一）諸多高校並沒有把應用寫作作為學生的必修課
多數專業只把它作為選修課，或者根本不開設此門課程。尤其是一些高校的計算機、建築、農林等系連選修課都不開設。不開課何談什麼應用寫作能力呢？即使開課也只是選修，當然也是考查課，這也是讓學生不夠重視此課學習、不了解此課的原因之一。反之，如果把應用寫作教育作為大學生的必修課，他們一方面能充分認識應用寫作的重要性，一方面對常用應用文和專業應用文有了理論知識的理解和實踐的訓練，自然對應用文的態度與認識也就不會出現前面的小兒科現象了。
（二）同學們思想中存在著嚴重的急功近利的思想
一些同學在校學習的同時急於獲取計算機、英語證書以及與本專業相關的各種證書，他們認為應用寫作可以在以後工作中再學習，在校用的相關的畢業論文等應用文則可以臨時抱火腳，網上查一查了事。這又不能不說是大學教育的一種缺失。如此下去，學校的教學質量如何保證，學生畢業以後如何適應工作需要？各高校真的應該考慮在各專業普遍開設應用寫作課了，使之更好地為學生發展、成才服務了。
（三）現在還沒有建立起與社會實踐對其主體要求相適應的應用寫作教育科學體系
在整個教育體系中，應用寫作教育還處於可有可無的、而且無系統、無規律的狀態。
1.在中小學的基礎教育中，應用寫作教育就缺乏其應有的地位，在教材上處於附屬地位；應用寫作的教學內容也缺乏科學的體系和安排，尤其在中小學階段，應用文種的取捨和順序安排與實踐需要及學生的階段性接受能力相脫節；教材上即使有一些應用文，但老師很少講解和組織學生練習，可以說是形同虛設。
2.在大學教育階段，現在大學里的一些專業把應用文看作是查缺補漏的課程，其他課程安排好後，若課時有富餘就上應用寫作課，富餘多就多給，富餘少就少給，沒富餘就不給。結果造成應用寫作課課時多時達70節，少則20節。應用寫作真的成了可有可無的課程了。應用寫作教學內容也處於無政府、無規律的現狀。現在有些學校教師任應用寫作課，講哪些文種，均由教師自己決定，負責任的教師作一些實際調查，傾聽一下專業教師的意見，一般的則是各自為政、各行其是，有時所講內容與實際需要相脫節，不利於學生成才的需要。
三、確立應用寫作教育的學科地位的勢在必行
學校要想為國家培養合格的人才，還應用寫作以獨立的重要的學科地位，應該說是時候了，或者說是刻不容緩了。學生不學應用寫作，他就不可能深入了解應用寫作的特點和規律，學生不學習、練習寫作相應的應用文，他就不可能寫出相應的合乎規范的應用文章來，我們調查的情況充分證明了這一點。既然如此，國家教育部門就應該把它作為大學生的必修課，難道非等到萬事俱備，只欠東風的時候嗎？何況現在已有了充分的理論與實踐的依據了呢！

I still remember the day when I first came to the college. Being a boy of 17, I was longing for a new life as a college student， at the same time I had no idea about what college life would be like.
That morning when the bus carried me to the gate of the college, I was so excited that my heart was beating very fast as if it would leap out of my mouth. From now on,I would be a student of this college. After registration,we were led by an instructor to the dormitory,where,for the first time, we were going to live without our parents but with roommates. I was so clumsy that I did not know how to make the bed and fix the mosquito net. In the afternoon, I took a walk around the campus together with my roommates. To think of studying in such a beautiful place made me feel quite proud of myself.
As we were walking along, talking and laughing, a voice came into our ears, "Oh,look at these freshmen!".
