Today I'd like to introce a book to you which i like much——The Five Thousand Years History.
A lot of people ask me which book is my most favorite one,and I always proudly answer them 「 Five Thousand Years History」,which is all history about China.This will be a long story for me to read this book.First time I touched this book is when I was 5 years old.My mother bought it to me as my 5-years-old gift.This is a really wonderful present to me,which is opening a history gate to me ,a totally innocent boy.I almost forgot the dinner after I read the first page.From then on,I was the historist in my class and showed my knowledge from that book to my classmeates.When I became older and older,I knew more about it and feel more confident about my own China.I am proud that I am a Chinese and I will make more effort to build a more powerful country and let Chinese history more brilliant.As me,this is the most important book in my life and now I still read it and recite some part of it.I think everyone should read it and get this wonderful experenice.

1、《The Old Man and the Sea》（老人與海）

《老人與海》是美國作家海明威於1951年在古巴寫的一篇中篇小說，於1952年出版。

該作圍繞一位老年古巴漁夫，與一條巨大的馬林魚在離岸很遠的灣流中搏鬥而展開故事的講述。盡管海明威筆下的老人是悲劇性的。

但他身上卻有著尼采「超人」的品質，泰然自若地接受失敗，沉著勇敢地面對死亡，這些「硬漢子」體現了海明威的人生哲學和道德理想，即人類不向命運低頭，永不服輸的鬥士精神和積極向上的樂觀人生態度。

它奠定了海明威在世界文學中的突出地位，這篇小說相繼獲得了1953年美國普利策獎和1954年諾貝爾文學獎。

2、《Le Comte de Monte-Cristo》（基督山伯爵）

《基督山伯爵》是法國作家大仲馬創作的長篇小說，發表於1844—1846年。

故事講述19世紀法國皇帝拿破崙「百日王朝」時期，法老號大副愛德蒙·鄧蒂斯受船長委託，為拿破崙黨人送了一封信，遭到兩個卑鄙小人和法官的陷害，被打入黑牢。

獄友法利亞神甫向他傳授各種知識，並在臨終前把埋於基督山島上的一批寶藏的秘密告訴了他。

鄧蒂斯越獄後找到了寶藏，成為巨富，從此化名基督山伯爵（水手辛巴德、布索尼神父、威爾莫勛爵），經過精心策劃，報答了恩人，懲罰了仇人。

該小說以基督山揚善懲惡、報恩復仇為故事發展的中心線索，主要情節跌宕起伏，迂迴曲折，從中又演化出若干次要情節，小插曲緊湊精彩，卻不喧賓奪主，情節離奇卻不違反生活真實。

全書出色地運用了「懸念」、「突發」、「發現」、「戲劇」等手法，在敘述上有較大的敘述密度和復雜的人物關系。這一切使這部小說充滿了敘述的張力，洋溢著敘述本身所產生的美。

因此，《基督山伯爵》被公認為通俗小說的典範。這部小說出版後，很快就贏得了廣大讀者的青睞，被翻譯成幾十種文字出版，在法國和美國多次被拍成電影。

3、《The adventures of Robinson Crusoe》（魯冰遜漂流記）

《魯濱遜漂流記》是英國作家丹尼爾·笛福的一部長篇小說。該書首次出版於1719年4月25日。

該作主要講述了主人公魯濱遜·克魯索（Robinson Crusoe）出生於一個中產階級家庭，一生志在遨遊四海。

一次在去非洲航海的途中遇到風暴，隻身漂流到一個無人的荒島上，開始了段與世隔絕的生活。他憑著強韌的意志與不懈的努力，在荒島上頑強地生存下來，經過28年2個月零19天後得以返回故鄉。

這部小說是笛福受當時一個真實故事的啟發而創作的。1704年9月，一名叫亞歷山大·塞爾柯克的蘇格蘭水手與船長發生爭吵，被船長遺棄在大西洋中，在荒島上生活4年4個月之後，被伍茲·羅傑斯船長所救。

笛福便以塞爾柯克的傳奇故事為藍本，把自己多年來的海上經歷和體驗傾注在人物身上，並充分運用自己豐富的想像力進行文學加工，使「魯賓遜」不僅成為當時中小資產階級心目中的英雄人物。

而且成為西方文學中第一個理想化的新興資產者。該小說發表多年後，被譯成多種文字廣為流傳於世界各地，並被多次改編為電影和電視劇。

4、《Uncle Tom's Cabin》（湯姆叔叔的小屋）

《湯姆叔叔的小屋：卑賤者的生活》（英語：Uncle Tom's Cabin; or, Life Among the Lowly），又譯作《黑奴籲天錄》、《湯姆大伯的小屋》。

是美國作家哈里特·比徹·斯托（斯托夫人）於1852年發表的一部反奴隸制長篇小說。這部小說中關於非裔美國人與美國奴隸制度的觀點曾產生過意義深遠的影響，並在某種程度上激化了導致美國內戰的地區局部沖突。

《湯姆叔叔的小屋》這部小說是19世紀最暢銷的小說（以及第二暢銷的書，僅次於最暢銷的書《聖經》），並被認為是刺激1850年代廢奴主義興起的一大原因。

憤怒與焦慮是此書的兩大主題，主人公的經歷和思想在青少年中引起強烈共鳴，受到讀者，特別是廣大中學生的熱烈歡迎。
