1.轉變觀念。轉變學生的思想觀念對於學生提高書面表達有著十分重要的作用。由於英語不是我們的母語，沒有一個良好的學習氛圍，所以不能自覺的形成英語運用的慣性思維，只能在老師的點播下才能自如的進行英語寫作。因此，筆者覺得老師要首先轉變學生的觀念，加強英語學習，盡一切可能為學生營造一個良好的學習氛圍，讓學生能夠自由的學習，自由的寫作。
2.培養學習興趣。總所周知，「興趣是學習最好的老師」，如果學生對英語產生了興趣，那麼他就會有學習的「被動接受者」變為「主動的探索者」，這種角色的轉化對於學生來說是十分有用的，因為他們會在學習英語的過程中體會到快樂，這樣良性循環之下，學生的英語寫作能力自然會得到保障。老師一定要記住，在進行英語寫作時，盡可能的選擇一些學生感興趣的話題，讓學生能夠更加的投入，寫出真正的好文章。老師激發學生興趣的方式有很多種，比如說，老師可以拿出幾節課教大家唱經典的英文歌曲，欣賞經典的英文電影，開設英語角等等，這些不同形式的活動都能夠激發學生的興趣，讓他們對英語產生濃厚的興趣。
3.注重基本訓練。寫作不是一蹴而就的，需要進行長期艱苦的訓練，可是我們不能單單進行枯燥的重復，我們需要掌握一定的技巧。在英語寫作中，一定要清晰的記著英語的固定搭配，基本句型，並形成一種思維定式，在寫作中很自然的將這些運用於作文的寫作，並且能夠很好的運用他們，為我們的作為潤色加分。因此，老師在課堂上就要讓學生牢記五種句型，加強這五種句型的訓練，具體的說，就是：（1）S+V；(2)S+V+O；(3)S+V+P；(4)S+V+IO+DO； （5）S+V+O+C，讓學生結合日常生活中所發生的事情，運用各種句式進行創作。隨著訓練的加深，老師還可以有意識的加深題目的難度，並且讓學生運用這些簡單的句式創造復句，做擴句的聯系，這對於學生提升英語的寫作能力非常有幫助。
