VOA 慢速英語的語速較慢，每分鍾大概九十個詞，不到一內百字。如果你想要一容分鍾左右的，能有什麼內容呢？VOA比較適合用來學習美式英語，但是並不僅僅就是聽力材料，也能傳遞很多信息，這么短時不可能的。
VOA 有很多欄目。IN THE NEWS一般是三分多鍾。我比較喜歡聽WORDS AND THEIR STORIES，每篇大概五分鍾，講的東西很有意思。你可以選你自己比較感興趣的去聽，不僅可以學英語，也可以有很多額外的收貨。

我二外學的法語，練聽力得看你是法語專業的還是只是學學了。要是初學新聞聽起回來肯定難，答你得先積累詞彙，多看看新聞背單詞，像vingt minutes和figaro這種報紙的網站上文章有短的，要不然聽不懂，新聞用語跟平常交際不太一樣。開始先聽簡單的，比如課文對話，然後電影新聞。要是你是法語專業的就忍著聽新聞吧，慢慢習慣。總之詞彙關鍵，平常自己多讀，熟悉聯誦連音，要不猛一聽單詞都連一塊聽不懂。
