I never really fancy English so much. Rather I study it because it is compulsory and thus I am simply stuck with this subject. This has been my attitude towards this language for a long time. However, my attitude changed forever when this incident happened. Last sunday I was on my way back home from Tutor, I suddenly saw a huge crowd surrounding a foreigner who looked quite unwell. As I approached, chatterings of helplessness were audible. This is because they could not understand what the English man was talking about. So I quickly went to him and used my English Knowledge to ask him what was wrong. He replied very simply: he has diabetis. This is a new word that I've just learnt few days ago ring English lesson (concerning illness and symptoms). Then I told people that surrounded him about his symptom. An elderly Grandpa quickly took out a lolly and gave it to him. Soon he looked well. He thanked me so gratefully and told me that I have actually saved his life. People around me looked at me with a mixture sense of jealousy and admiration. I feel so proud. Ever since that day I come to realise the importance of English and my small achievement really made me feel like learning more and become fluent in this language.
It is quite important to be a good listener. Effective listening is more than simply avoiding the bad habit of interrupting others while they are speaking. It』 being content to listen to the entire thought of someone rather than waiting impatiently for your chance to respond.
Slowing down your responses and becoming a better listener aids you in becoming a more amiable person. As you wait for the person you are communicating with to finish, as you simply listen more intently to what is being said, you will feel more relaxed, and so will the people you are talking to. Not only will being a better listener make you a more patient person, but it will also improve your relationship with others because everyone loves to talk to someone who truly listens to what they are saying.
It is quite easy for you to be a better listener. As long as you for get yourself and imagine yourself in the speaker』s experience to understand the emotion behind the words, and then give your appropriate responses slowly, you will be an endeared listener.

A most horrible experienceI used to be fond of skating. but now things have changed because of a most horrible experience. One winter, the weather was so cold that water turned into ice. One day on my way home, when seeing a frozen lake, I thought that the ice must be thick enough to support me. Being so interested in skating, I couldn't help going down and sliding on the ice. Suddenly, I heard a sound of crack. Looking down, I saw the crack on the ice surface. I was frightened out of my life and didn't dare to move, but nobody could help me. I had to move toward the bank carefully. As soon as I got onto the bank, the ice broke. How horrible it was! Even if it has been a long time since then, I can still feel the fear, and I no longer like skating since then.
