不是在本校批改。一般要到省里，由各個地方的省考試院牽頭，大學英語四六級考試委員會組織統一閱卷的，有時會組織部分研究生參與閱卷。

按照《大學英語課程教學要求(試行)》修訂考試大綱，開發新題型，加大聽力理解部分的題量和分值比例，增加快速閱讀理解測試，增加非選擇性試題的題量和分值比例。2013年8月17日題型調整後，現行階段的四、六級考試內容由四部分構成：聽力理解、閱讀理解、綜合測試和寫作測試。
